This is an average hotel for a reasonable price in a good location. The location of the hotel is the best aspect. We walked to all the centrally-located sights, and took the metro to go further afield. I think I would try a different hotel if I went back to Moscow. The downsides of this hotel are the chargeable wifi...

The hotel is situated very close to the Red Square (less than 15min walk) and close to the subway stations (10min each). Our regular room was comfortable and clean. Fresh bottle of water every day, nice bead. We did not go for breakfast, it was overcharged, not worth it. Price was reasonable but had made the reservation more than 3...

A very modern building in a close location to the Kremlin, with small but very clean and modern rooms. Breakfast is 100% excellent as are the staff who serve, rooms are warm, quiet and comfy if small. Only two problem areas - the Flatiron restaurant serves poor food from harassed staff struggling to cope and is in need of a...

I have stayed here twice. Once for business, the other for pleasure. Friendly and helpful staff. It is a very clean, new hotel 1/4 mile walking distance to Red Square in a safe neighborhood. There are a few very good restaurants and the hotel bar is great. I would highly recommend this hotel to any American traveling to Moscow.

We took a room at Courtyard by Marriott Moscow City Centre as the property located in the very centre of Moscow. It is only 10 minutes’ walk to The Kremlin and Red Square. There is Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory just around the corner, several minutes’ walk farther there is Zoological museum, and then you reach the buildings of Moscow University (not...

Location: Excellent! 10 minutes walking to the Red Square. Very easy to reach the Bolshoi theater and other tourist attractions. Restaurant and breakfast: good breakfast with a lot of options. The restaurant also has some very good options with ribs. There's a brunette waitress, who I don't remember the name, who was very nice and friendly. Staff: very qualified and...

We were in Moscow for an interview at the US Embassy, so found this hotel - good price, and surprisingly close to the city center. It doesn't look like much from outside - in fact, it is in a tight street, and not obviously a hotel, especially at night. Inside, however, it has that Marriott look, and check in/check out...

Staying in Tverskaya

Neighbourhood Profile
Tverskaya
Tverskaya can’t be discovered with just a first glance, the neighborhood is shaped around a long street populated with well-known shops and brands. But it’s more than shopping that makes this place interesting. Take a few steps into the streets running parallel to the main artery to discover the charm just behind the mighty Stalinist style architecture. Comfy European pedestrian streets Bolshaya Dmitrovka or Stoleshnikov lane are a great place to start. Locals can be found here working, eating, shopping, resting and going to the Bolshoi Theatre in the evening.
