It was a very nice hotel. The staff speaks very good English and is very helpfull. The location is perfect! The rooms are okay, a bit small with all the luggage but that's not a problem because there is the very nice big living room. The only negative things are the terrible beds, you're back is broken after a few...

I stayed here with my partner in Late Jan/Early Feb 2011 while travelling by train through Russia. On arrival we were a little disappointed as it was very small and we were put in a dark smelly dorm where everyone was still asleep (it was 3pm!) however after asking, we were moved in to a smaller (more expensive dorm) at...

I am living in Russia, but slept in Napoleon hostel with a friend, one week for commodities. I didn t planned to go to te hostel, but the other one I booked was flooded one day before. I was panicked, didn't know where me and my friend would sleep. When I contacted Napoleon, they were really nice, well organised. Finally,...

I stayed 5 nights in this hostel and found it very very good. Its interesting to read some of the reviews from 2010 and to see how they've turned it around. Cleanliness is definitely not an issue here and the staff are very helpful and welcoming. The location too is incredible. I thought the laundry charge (300 rubles for 5kg)...

Due to mixed reviews on TA I was aprehensive about this hostel, but I neednt have been. From the moment I stepped though the door the smiling happy (wonderful) receptionists checked me in quickly and registered my visa. The rooms had been newly renovated and had colourful trendy wallpaper, comfy beds and good lockers (bring your own padlock). Location was...

My flight arrived at around 2am so the hostel arranged a taxi to come and collect me which seemed like a very handy service (paid for of course) - bearing in mind I was a female travelling alone in a strange country in the middle of the night it was a little disconcerting to have a huge Russian man collect...

We stayed at the hostel for 3 nights and found the staff to be the worst we had experienced in Russia(5 weeks travelling). The rooms were ok but the the shower and WC's were below average for a hostel, too few and not cleaned regularly. The staff also tried to make us register our visa when we stayed there and...

We arrived to the hostel at 7am and were told we would have to wait till noon to check in, which was fair enough since it was so early. So we waited in the lobby till noon to check in. Another member of staff came on duty a few hours later without saying a word or acknowledging us despite us...

Napoleon Hostel has been voted as the best hostel in Moscow... When you first arrive, you think it's a bit pretentious. After one day, you already think that it deserves more ! There is always someone from the staff ready to help you with the smile, at any hour of the day or of the night. The rooms, the bathroom,...
