Clean. Safe. Everything works, unlike in most other hotels in P-K. Pointers: leave additional time for breakfast, service can be on the slow side but quality is excellent by Kamchatka standards. Internet is slow everywhere in Kamchatka but if the wifi freezes, just ask Reception to reboot. If you arrive early, be prepared to pay for early check-in by the hour. Learn some Russian phrases to chat with Reception, their Englush varies from person to person. Book in advance: it is a really small hotel. Enjoy Kamchatka.
Being the only hotel in town that has decent rooms and clean bathrooms, there's still the issue of a very poor breakfast (coffee costs 200 RUB extra...), the Internet that isn't working or when it is, very slowly and the staff that mostly does not speak English. No AMEX cards being accepted and company address cannot be entered into the invoice. Welcome to Russia!
Booked Dolce Vita as the result of Tripadvisor recommendations. Picked up at the grim airport by their driver. Placed in a lovely room. Had a very nice dinner in their small dining room that evening (very limited menu choice). Excellent breakfast the next morning. Good staff service. Only negative was the fact that the woman who seemed to be the owner or manager spoke no English but the other staff provided service that exceeded our expectations.
We went there after we got disappointed by Geyser. The hotel is small, barely a year old, but in terms of room quality & size as well as cleanliness up to Western standards. It also has a well working free wifi and a very good location - 200m from a big bus stop and 250m from San Marino restaurant, one of the best choices in town. We also liked the ample breakfast a lot, yet often had to wait long as the service was done by the sole receptionist - a bit slow if guests were checking out at the same time. One day, we had to live with reduced offering, as their cook had not shown up. It is a pity that they have closed their restaurant for good, it is only open for breakfast these days. People at reception were very friendly and helpful, I can highly recommend this place in a town where quality choices in terms of hotels are very rare.…
Stayed for a few days recently . The staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke English . Hotel is reasonably new and all clean and cosy . The restaurant was not open for dinner but two minutes walk to one of the best in the area , the San Marino . Great place to prepare for the Kamchatka experience or for resting up afterwards . Wifi free and good connection . Definitely recommend material .
