All rooms have a nice view over Pregel river, some rooms also have small balconies. Skipper is within walking distance from most attractions and this building complex is one of the few city's attractions itself. Restaurant downstairs is outstanding and definitely one of the best in the city. Rooms are looking somewhat tired and design choices are questionable. Still, well... More

The disadvantages of this hotels are - The price and the quality of the breakfast. - The smell of gas near the elevator. - Our room (44) was small and the bathroom was pretty simple. - Some paintings in the room were unpleasant. - The TV didn't work well. The Advantages of the hotel: The location couldn't be better, as... More

Hotel looks good and has a nice view to the city. If you like traditional style, this is a hotel for you. Rooms a bit dark, but that's just your traditional colours. Three stars only as I came here with my other half and we got one double bed, but TWO mattresses. Not your best if you want to cuddle.... More

A peaceful view to the riverbank from the balcony, city noise can hardly be heard. Nice island with a park is in sight and reachable in a 5-minute walk. Other city attractions are also not too far and may be visited without use of transport (although a tram stop is right by the hotel entrance). The hotel is neat and... More

I stayed here for 2 nights in June. The girls at reception all spoke English decently. All rooms are river view which is nice and mine had a balcony door which opened for fresh air. When I first got there, my room had a bit of an odor but by opening the door - the odor seemed to dissipate. The... More

Central located, very closed to historic place of Kaliningrad, near the tomb of philosoph Immanuel Kant. Hotel itself is quite good, few small things like a very hot air in the corridors (didn't understood - was it lack of ventilation or saving money for airco's???), falling tails around elevator of third level, fastened with two wooden sticks... maked stay in... It's really hard to find a hotel in Russia which won't cost a lot and won't be horrible at the same time. This hotel is really a rear place to find. The room was very cozy and not too small with a fantastic view from the small balcony. It is located 2 min walking from the main cathedral and 15... More

The Skipper Hotel is located in what was once the centre of old Konigsberg, East Prussia. But nowadays, there are only waterways and pointless islands. From our room, we could see the Cathedral (rebuilt under orders of Yeltsin) and watch/hear the powerboats at 2 am going between the islands. From the Skipper Hotel, you can only imagine what the city... More

Room was clean and warm, the wifi worked properly, bed was comfortable. The main difference is breakfast what was really more than you can expect in Kaliningrad. I propose to try salmon, pancakes and all these fresh sweets.
