For those that are happy to walk the hotel is well situated on the banks of the Neva. One can catch a trolley bus (No 5) to the Winter Palace from the square about 2 minutes away. There is parking in the courtyards. The Reception desk was always staffed with happy people. An issue we had with the hotel was...

I read a review of this hotel before we booked, which said it was a "mixed bag." I have to say I agree with that description. The hotel is a bit kitschy and our room was in a separate building from the reception and dining room, but those details were not an issue for us. In fact, we thought the...

The Location is good. You have a direct connection to the other Islands because of the Bridge at the Angliskaya side. The street is very quiet at night and the centre is reachable within a half hour by feet. The hotel is beautiful. Large rooms, comfortable beds, clean, great room service and an old russian style. The staff is very...

Although the taxi driver at St.Petersburg airport had never heard of it, I was aware of its rough location and we found it. Even the address seems to vary! Quite a depressing street, but once inside it's a nice little hotel with friendly & helpful staff. Breakfasts are good, I did eat one evening in the hotel but there's such...

Breakfast is still fabulous. However, the window in my room (I had the same one as last time, as requested) still didn't close properly. And unlike my first visit, the air conditioning wasn't working. (Perhaps because it wasn't technically summer yet? But it got really hot and stuffy in there on the nicer days.) When I asked about it, the...

I loved my room (although I do hope they get the window fixed so it will actually close before I go there again, but I had no problems), and breakfast. When I saw the breakfast the first morning, I was probably the happiest person there, as I was very much looking forward to eating in Russia again (macaroni, buckwheat, bliny,...

We had large rooms, well decorated. Breakfast was good with plenty of fish and other dishes. Well located by the river within walking distance of the Hermitage etc. Not ideal for public transport as no nearby metro stations. Not too expensive either.

I like amenities of the hotel, but 1) the person who served breakfast was unfriendly and impolite with people from Russia. 2) the price was much higher (I booked with bookingcom) than one I discovered in the hotel in the same day. Neither BookIngCom manager not HappyPushkinHotel manager did not give me any discount nor price correction. 3) In closest...

I stayed one night here as I wanted to be "walking distance" away from Erarta museum and Novy Muzei, but still in the main land so that I wouldn't be jammed out of my hotel because of opening bridges when/if getting a pint in some local pub (yes, I walked to those places but Erarta was _not_ very near, and...
