I would just like to express our entire satisfaction with our stay in the apartment Old Coutyard, and highlight the kindness and good work of Olya Perfect location and distribution for a group or several couples. We were 2 couples and 1 single. Breakfast and night drinks in the apartment, excellent moments in the "hard life of travelers" Hopefully not...

Best place to explore Sant Peterburg and come back "home" after busy days of Stendhal Syndrome. Close to different metro lines and close to Nevsky Prospeckt. On Marata Street you can find also good and not expensive restaurants and a 24 hours supermarket. The previous communication with John before arrival was perfect, he was very helpful and attentive to all...

We stayed in the Burgundy Room from May 19 - 25 and it was wonderful. The room was clean when we arrived, Olga prepared a filling breakfast for us on the days we did not depart for sightseeing early in the morning, and all our communication with John was very positive. We liked the spacious bathroom and authentic Russian feel...

The church courtyard block is precisely where a visitor is best placed to explore the city. It was such a good location I could have been absolutely satisfied with my time there doing little beside watching from the west windows (silver room) onto Marata, or from down in the courtyard. The Vladimirskiy - Kuznechniy - Marata sector is a centre...

Lovely room (all the rooms are decorated individually with a mix of antique / modern furniture), a lot of care has obviously gone into this apartment. Warm & plentiful hot water (important in the cold St Petersburg weather). We were welcomed warmly & had a good chat about St Petersburg, the local area, history. The breakfast supplies were plentiful- teas,...

I had a great week staying in the Old Church Courtyard. If you want to experience Russia for real, not in some corporate hotel, then this is perfect. It's a beautiful historic apartment, with very easy access to the Metro and Nevsky Prospekt. Olga was a brilliant host, she looked after me very well during my stay. She was always...

Just wanted to say that we found the Old Courtyard Guesthouse very convenient and enjoyed the feel of staying in a St Petersburg apartment. We certainly appreciated the central position on ulitsa Marata, enjoyed the markets being so nearby, as well as the easy walk to Nevsky Prospekt and Moskovaya Station. Restaurants & cafes were well within reach & public...

This is what you are looking for - old St Petersburg elegance, a personal touch from the owner who hand-finished the antique furniture throughout the flat, and walking distance to everything you want to see in St Petersburg. I have stayed here and at the owner's other property on Vasilyevsky Island on several occasions and have been accommodated in every...

We stayed here for five nights with another couple. Our room was the large back room with king size bed and a huge bathroom. Nicely presented. Comfortable bed. Dark curtains which kept out a lot of the light during the night. We also had a much needed fan as the temps when we were there were high 20s to low...

A bed-and-breakfast with old world style. Comfortable, spacious room. Wonderful hospitable personnel. A terrific breakfast, lots of help with finding your way. Great cabbie negotiators. Lots of contacts to help you with other travel arrangements. Nicest part of the trip was spending time with other guests at the dining room style table where we shared stories and tips about sights...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our guesthouse in the centre of St Petersburg is a former priest's apartment which we have restored and gently adapted to give a carefully balanced mix of private and public space. All rooms have their own distinctive character and large bathrooms (some with windows). Breakfast is free, as are coffee and tea at any time and a very fast Wi-Fi connection.
