We love the Belmond collection. The Belmond Grand Hotel Europe of St. Petersburg did not disappoint. It was in a great location. The room was spacious and clean. They also have butler service. There are some great restaurants on the premise with a great cocktail bar and awesome breakfast buffet.

One of the grandest hotels I have ever had the pleasure to stay in. The Belmond Grand Hotel Europe is ideally situated to experience all of the major sites in St Petersburg. The concierge service was second to none and happily attended to all of our requests and enquiries. Last minutes tickets to the Mariinsky Ballet were even sourced for...

Everything worked pretty well during my short stay: great location, great room, good breakfast, very nice decorations. The room was very quiet and the temperature just right (indoors in Russia tend to be overheated). Shame the mattress was way too hard and I tossed and turned the whole night. I was a bit disappointed by the front office staff: I...

Situated so conveniently for all the expected destinations - Hermitage, cathedrals, museums and theatres - Belmond Grand has to be the place to stay in St Petersburg. A warm welcome from the doorkeepers, through the reception desk and concierge makes you feel wanted! Nothing seems to be too much trouble. Organising tickets for the Mariinski Theatre, no problem. Breakfast served...

I really enjoyed this hotel. There were some dignitaries there constantly so alot of security folks were always present. The service was top notch as well. The breakfast was amazing and was downstairs in buffet style. Decor is elegant and beautiful. You really can't go wrong with this hotel.

The Belmond Grand lives up to its reputation. Top notch service, friendly and helpful staff. The rooms, although not spacious, were beautifully decorated. Turn down service with comfy robes and slippers were welcome after a day of sight seeing. The bathroom has a heated floor and ample room for toiletries. A minor complaint was the firmness of the mattresses. When...

Fabulous stay! After reading about this hotel in “Great, Grand & Famous Hotels” it was obviously our choice when visiting St Petersburg at the end of a fabulous three-week trip from Vladivostok to Moscow. After travelling on the Sapsan fast train (highly recommended) from Moscow, our car pulled up outside the very grand building of this hotel and staff immediately...

I can absolutely and confidently recommend this hotel. From the doorman's greeting on arrival to the trip back to the airport the service was universally good, with some aspects surprising on the upside. Our park-view room was very comfortable, overly warm of course but the windows do open. Every day the staff brought us some little snacky treat, totally unbidden...

You enter an oasis of calm and sophistication at this lovely old fashioned yet well equipped with all that one requires today. We were there in winter and the heating works well. Wi-fi is available with the rooms and works very well. TV channels are limited as one would perhaps expect in a semi-free country as Russia. The town is...

Decent hotel but furnishings are outdated and the air conditioning is limited. I believe like many other Russian buildings the temperature is controlled by the government and the thermostat on the wall doesn't work. The hotel is ideally located on main city street and houses several good restaurants including the Azia Asian restaurant which I would highly recommend.
