Good hostel with very helpful staff. There is a common kicthen and bathrooms, and pretty clean. The double bedrom had 2 seperate beds, which was the only negative thing. The location is great; close to everything you want to see in St. Petersburg. Remmber that there are actually 2 very different locations with the same adress, so make sure you...

Returned again to this hostel , it gets better each year. The rooms are all being improved & decorated & as ever were clean. The kitchen room has basic facilities but more than enough for a city with so much to offer in the way of eating out. A new supermarket opened within a few hundred metres makes shopping easy...

This hostel is undeniably basic, but they are trying hard. All the really important things for travellers are there. The security is superb: the only time the woman at the entrance hall missed giving us the once-over as we passed her cubbyhole at street level, she was out of her room to check us out before we were halfway up...

Puppet hostel wasn´t a warm welcoming place, fels like a converted apartment block, but it is safe, secure and clean. They do offer a breakfast which isn´t really up to much. the rooms are very basic, and hile the sheets were clean the floor of...

I was happy with the Puppet Theatre Hostel. It was clean, our room was nice and was cleaned daily (fresh towels and everything). We shared bathrooms, but they were never busy and always had hot water. Breakfast was included and was a good spread of bread, cheese, sliced meat, yogurt, and cereal. There was a good mix of travelers staying...

Why has no-one else reviewed this place?! I stayed here some time ago but just have to put in a review for anyone who might want to stay here. It's really well located, only a 5 minute walk from the Moscow train station and just off Nevsky Prospekt, the city's main street. There's a net cafe and a little store...

“Quieter rooms away from the kitchen room . The area is quiet as are all the rooms dependent only on the other guests.”

“Rooms in the first area are noisier because of people coming and going through the rather loud security system. Ask for a room that is past the showers, where it's a single corridor.”
