I’m in Dallah Taiba, Medina. Checked in room 226 from the 14th till 18th March 23. I’ve been in this hotel before. The service and facilities had been good. Not this time. 1. The wifi has always been breaking down. When consulting the front desk, the response has been lacklustre, almost couldn’t be bothered to assist. The answer is we are working on it. Through out the stay, the wifi in room has always been weak, slow and kept dropping. 2. The exhaust fan in the toilet and air-condition blowers were noisy. When the maintenance personnel checked, they are insisting that it’s “normal”. 3. The window ledges were covered with bird poop. Again, no response when it was brought up to the front desk. Overall, the service provided the front desk /reception staff is poor. They couldn’t provide any change of room, or a solution to the issues or any compensation. This hotel does not deserve a 5 star rating. It’s a 3 star, 4 at most. Definitely not coming here again.

The room was nice in it's own unique simplicity. Love that they provided extra pillows and blankets in the closet. Enjoyed the customer service delivered too! The international breakfast was amazing and made the stay pretty much worth it.

I am a hotelier and a business consultant so usually I am biased with hotels. The one star is well earned by management not staff. The first disappointment is when we arrived as there was no empty parking in this heavy crowded area. To my surprise there were empty car parks for general manager and his deputy reserved and cannot be touched. The technology used in the hotel is that of 1980s and a renovation is well overdue. I had to wait like on hour and nagging for my luggage to come to my room. The nice lady who checked us in told us that we can use the lounge as our booking was executive. We were kicked off the lounge because the rule no one below 18 is allowed and our son obviously is under age. I guess the manager who put the rules mixed between hotel lounges in Medina Munawars and bars. This hotel needs to shutdown. Management replaced and hotel renovated to become a cash cow for its owners.

Stayed in Dallah Taiba early January. We had 2 suites of 3 bedrooms each. The rooms were excellent.Clean with all amenities provided. A kettle and coffee machine was also provided. A mini fridge too. The house keeping staff was very friendly and accomodating. The hotel is hardly a minute s walk from Masjid e Nabwi The beds were very comfy. Proper hot water facilities in the washroom.

Poor checkin, bad atmosphere and terrible experience. Checkin process was slow with long queues. We were checked into the wrong type of room. The lifts are slow and can take up to 20 minutes coming down 4 floors. Once we arrived in the wrong type of room we were not happy and advised the reception to change our room. They informed us that the hotel was fully booked and that wasn’t possible. Then we wanted to cancel our reservation and go elsewhere, we spoke to the receptionist whom advised us to contact our booking agent. The booking company was helpful and tried to contact the hotel who initially did not respond to them. Then we spoke to a manager whom then contacted the booking company. Unfortunately, they did not allow us to cancel the booking. This is a 2-3 star property, impossible for it to be close to 5*. Why would you refer a client to the booking company and then not allow the cancellation? Rather than wasting time just tell the guests that you can’t cancel. We offered to pay for the first night and then refund the remaining, nor was this accepted. Overall I would recommend that you don’t book this hotel.

On arrival we were given the wrong room, the reception manager was extremely rude, said we had given the wrong names. After complaining, they offered us a premium suite, literally on the last night, which was useless. Bathrooms are tiny, no hook on the back of the door, which they did come and put up. Rooms are double/twin rooms, so if there 3 of you, they will squeeze in a 3rd bed, (but we found the same in the hotel at Makkah). Besides the reception manager, all the other staff were polite and friendly, one thing I noticed at this hotel, the cleaning staff and porters did not expect to be tipped, which made me want to tip them. Major advantage was the closeness to masjid e nabawi. Breakfast I would say was ok, the restaurant could do with being updated and could have been cleaner, the restaurant staff were friendly.

Great location, clean rooms lobby reception furniture. Overall experience would be 5 stars but they had a common reoccurring problem for ALL tenants accessing the rooms. The locks of every room need to replaced. Caused extensive headaches and trips to reception again and again and technicians showing up for our as well as other tenants again and again.

The rooms are clean and have everything we need. Proximity to haram is the most selling point. But space at breakfast was another issue. The first floor dining was so full with guests and we were told to come a few minutes later. But there was never any space to sit and eat. We took our food and ate at M level but we’re approached by atleast 3-4 people telling us this floor was not for us to eat even though 98% of it was empty. M floor was only for Malaysian/Indonesian groups apparently. Left a bad taste in our mouth and I am dreading the next six days of breakfast.

Possibly the WORST hotel experience in the best possible place - Madina. The only hotel in the world that doesn’t accept online payment and still has hustlers on the streets to get you a room (read: their unusually high commission in cash). Also, tight rooms, unfriendly staff and lowly maintained rooms.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. We had contacted the hotel prior to reaching the location. They said they had rooms and will accept online payment via our travel agent. When we reached the hotel, they had 3 hustlers at the main entrance who didn't formally work for the hotel but were clearly in on the whole thing. The hotel refused our online payment and asked us to pay in cash - which we had to give out of our spending money. Then the 3 hustlers asked for money on top of the cash payment because they said we can't book unless they are paid. Obviously when traveling with family, we had no other option but to give in to these sneaky, gross demands. Because otherwise we didn't know if any other hotel would have availability + cost. After the extremely off-putting start with the check-in, we were taken to the welcome lounge to have some snacks which were horrible. It was like they were cooked 3 days ago and left in the pan. The rooms we asked for were two 3-bed bedrooms and one double bed bedroom. One of the bedrooms we got was originally had 2 single beds but they had forcefully fitted a third one in there. Which meant there was literally NO SPACE to place luggage, pray or even walk. We had to ask them to remove one chair so one less place to sit. The AC and light controls were hidden behind a lamp. No hooks behind the bathroom door to hang clothes. A broken window that didn't close and had cold air coming in constantly. The bedside lamp was fluctuating. NOTHING from the beginning was good or right about this. I'm never EVER coming here or recommending anyone to come here!
