My partner and I checked in on the 9th October late in the evening we left 30 mins later. I have always been of the opinion that a hotel room is just a place to sleep whilst exploring the city and we never stay at...More
A clean basic hotel with a modern feel. This is a chain hotel in China and this hotel was clean with a modern feel. It was a good value for the money. This place is a little out of the way to the main tourist...More

The hotel was very nice and the room was clean and comfortable but too much smell of cigarete smoke inside the room (as everywhere in China, unfortunately). Has a good price but is more oriented to business, if you are a tourist and want to...More
This is a basic, no frills, clean room. You get bedroom slippers, towels in plastic bags, a hot kettle and tea bags. The bonus is the smell of cigarettes. There's no respect for non smoking rules in China hotels. It's like that in Malaysia too....More

Travel times to Terra Cotta Warriors is about 30-40mins depending on traffic. That is if you take public bus from the bus stop across the street from the hotel. Most of the buses from this bus stop will terminate at the Xian Railway station ( this is not the same as Xian North railway station ). The cost of this ride is 2 yuan and its just under 2km. There is a great website that has lots of information but Tripadvisor prevents me from linking it here.. try: "tour beijing" and search for Xian and Xian Railway station.
It has very good information on where, how to catch the local "tourist" buses to visit attractions in Xian. Bus #3 goes to Qianling Tomb which is the proper name in mandarin for Terrcota Warrior. You can skip the spa resort along the way... its not worth the detour. When you get to the Terracota site, follow the crowds to the main entrance ( where the tickets are sold ). Some people may walk towards steps that seem to be like the entrance.. but that is actually the exit, so be sure to ask for directions.. signage can be lacking.
The hotel is able to provide a free map of Xian and this map has local public bus numbers listed on the routes to the Wild Goose temple. Just locate the bus stop nearest the attraction and note the bus numbers and match them with the numbers with the bus stop outside the hotel.. it lets you experience the local travel style!
Wild Goose temple bu public bus should be about 10mins depending on traffic. there is some construction work going on along the route.. they are extending the underground metro tunnels, so it can get congested.. but not too bad.
Just make sure you have lots of 1 Yuan notes or coins for the rides... local buses should be 2 Yuan while "tourist" buses should be 7 Yuan ( all 1 way rides )
