This hotel is in an ideal location with the Big Wild Goose Pagoda literally around the corner. As a tourist attraction this then provides many restaurants and coffee shops within easy walking distance. The room was fine and comfy - I'd recommend one away from the reception. The grounds are inviting but there is no lounge area and no bar...

This is my third visit to China and I have never experienced beds this hard! My back actually started spasming after only two nights. I have been more comfortable camping. Otherwise the hotel is well located and quite pretty. The breakfast buffet contains mostly Chinese dishes although they do have a good coffee maker. If you can sleep on a...

1. The room was very pretty. I felt like I time-slipped in to the Tang dynasty, or at least a movie set. The bathroom had basic amenities and the room was cleaned every day. complimentary snacks, drinks were available (one time). 2 bottles of water was provided every day during our stay, and we received a fruit basket pretty much...

A lovely room - comfortable, quiet, spacious. View of Wild Goose Pagoda from the gardens. Location in pedestrianised precinct surrounding Pagoda is excellent also. Breakfast however was a disappointment - unless you wanted Chinese fare. On offer from the buffet were cold, congealed, fried eggs and cold bacon. If buffet dishes had been kept warm they might have been appetising....

Having requested boutique hotels from our travel agent and generally being very pleased with them, this would be at the bottom of the list. I really don't know how to review this place. When you find that the staff can speak almost no English and when you do ask questions you have to re-phrase them so many times, it becomes a little difficult. Eg's: 'Where is the restaurant (for dinner)?' resulted in me being shown the menu in my room and somehow almost receiving...

The brilliant location doesn't justify the smelly bathroom, hard bed and bad breakfast. Very disappointing stay in Xian ... But, the gardens were lovely and the location was superb. If they fixed the bad smelling bathroom and made omelettes at the complimentary breakfast, this would have been a 3-4 star review.

I love the room that we get, we had wild goose pagoda as our neighbour and the hotel garden at our doorstep. The hotel & room interior is just as I expected it to be and was the main reason I choose to stay at this hotel. And their staffs were also very nice and helpful; we have no problem...

... the bathroom in our suite smelled so bad (like a sewage problem) that we were totally turned off. The hotel was nice, though could use an update and had some cheesy decor -- stuffed animals and other random items in the room. The refrigerator wasn't cold enough for us to store sandwiches overnight for our picnic on Mount Huashan...
