This is an older hotel but very well kept. Very beautiful and elegant. Our room was great , it was a 2 bedroom suite, with kitchen, living room, dining room and the huge bedroom with a living room area. It has a great bar a huge lobby and great breakfast buffet. The people in the front desk were very professional....

Golden Flower Hotel (no longer the Shangri-La) is the oldest luxury hotel in Xian, and is predictably aged. But it does provide great value for money (around 350 RMB a night). We stayed 3 nights, and it is obvious that the hotel is often catered to tour groups (even in low season). The location of the hotel is pretty convenient,...

Probably the least favourable of our hotels on our tour. Breakfast not that appetising although a reasonable selection, not as fresh as it could be. The shower had a fair bit of mould around the tiles. No map of the area available from reception. It looked a nightmare to cross the road but at the end of our stay we...

The hotel is very close from the South Gate, a good location, some expensive, next to the South Gate of the business district, very good. Breakfast is also very good, reached a five-star standard,The next time will not live here, because it is not very convenient

it is no longer a Shangri- La and you can easily see why. Not too long ago it is a top choice of hotel for travelers. The place look dated and badly need a complete make over. Yes, it is still in an excellent location, just oppose the metro station and only minutes from the old city and Airport bus...

We stayed there for 2 nights. The hotel entrance was in chaos. Overall service in various parts of the hotel was poor. I would not recommend this property to my clients. The female manager in the bar/cafe was inexperienced and couldn't take the order correctly. She blamed the guests. Restaurant for the breakfast was over-crowded. The waiters wonder around with...

Great Value. The room was very spacious. Although the furnishing is bit dated. Overall the room is clean. We tried the breakfast buffet. It is bit expensive as compare to other hotel of the same class. However the food selection is good. We also had dinner at the restaurant right off the lobby, because we did not feel brave enough...

The traffic is crazy outside. Crossing the road is a hazard and you need to be extra vigilant for the silent electric bikes zipping alongside the pavement. Traffic warning aside, this is a really good hotel. Rooms are large and modern. The meals were very good with a restaurant complex across the road (but watch out for ...... you know)....
