Very international hotel, with mostly international guests. Excellent room with a nice view of the town. Great breakfast buffet.

At the airport we were met by Lily, a tour guide from Travel China Guide. Her warmth and efficiency set the tone for a memorable, trouble free trip to Xian. The foyer of the Grand New World Hotel is WOW. The exquisite murals, and gigantic Terracotta Warriors are breathtaking. Our group was quickly assigned clean, well appointed rooms, which did...

We arrived into Xi'an very late and after a somewhat scary taxi ride to the hotel we were greeted by a GRAND lobby and very pleasant, modern and well appointed room. The bathroom was very nice. Yes, the beds were hard but we found that to be common throughout China. Our room was on the 15th floor; we helped ourselves...

A big, centrally located hotel serving the needs of visitors in town to see the Terracotta Warriors. Room was clean, well equipped and quiet at night. Because of the large numbers, the lobby and restaurant are very busy at all times. Breakfast was a real scramble with a queue forming for a table on occasions, though the food choice was...

I stayed at this hotel on a tour with Travel China Guide (see separate review). Room 1232 was spacious, a long walk from the elevator, with two comfortable double beds, excellent bed lighting and good room lighting generally, BUT no drawers for storing clothes, and the most pathetic mini-bar I have ever seen – 4 cans! Breakfast was quite acceptable,...

This was the second property we stayed at as part of our Gate1 China tour, and it was a great property with a very impressive lobby. This is a solid 4-star hotel. GOOD - Nice, clean, above average sized rooms that look modern. We had a nice view looking over the city. - Full complimentary tea/ coffee items in room....

What stood out the most at this hotel was the impressive carved statue overlooking the lobby of the hotel. It makes you feel rather grand. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was good. I would stay again if I chose to return to Xian. The only reason I don’t give it a full 5 out of 5 is that...

Really liked this hotel. Very grand lobby with high ceiling and enormous wall statues behind the recepton area. We had a king sized room with an enormous bed, and our daughters had a twin. Good-sized rooms, nicely decorated, new and very clean. We stayed in 9 hotels during our tour and my top tip would be to always choose the...

My husband & I stayed here in July as a part of our China Travel Guide tour. Unfortunately, the grandeur of the lobby leaves one a little disappointed in the room. However, the room was clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was good with lots of fruit, cereal, toast and many asian varieties. Overall, a comfortable stay.

The first impression upon arriving at the hotel and entering the hotel lobby gave a 5-star feel. The lobby was large and had a garden behind the lobby with a garden and pond with huge statues. Our check-in was swift and hassle free. Our room had a front street facing view, which was relief after a 3-nights stay in Beijing...
