well thats nothing extraordinary about this accommodation beside its location .. well yes the staff are friendly also .. but the room was not that nice. Our double room was on the third floor, means we had to hike up with all our luggages .. bed was not comfortable and the cleanliness could be better .. the cafe was overpriced...

I stayed in another hostel for 3 nights of my stay in Hangzhou, one which was to the West of West Lake. We then decided to switch to this hostel because of the better location for our last night. I wish I had stayed in the hostel I was staying in previously, as the rooms were 10x nicer and cleaner...

You can only walk to the famous West Lake from this hostel. The toilet is not very clean, but the room is ok. The staff were friendly and young. Too bad the air-conditioner in female dorm(at that time) are not working, eventhough I have made a complaint at the reception but the action is not well taken.

The staff were very friendly, providing assistance to different tourist places, but cleanliness was lower and hot water service was only available at specific time periods - a bit of a problem if you are travelling in a cold winter.

I had not stayed at a "youth" hostel before, and as I am 70 years old, I was wondering how I would be treated. I need not have worried. Nearly all the staff and guests here are young, but I did not feel out of place. The staff in particular were friendly and went out of their way to ensure...

Don't know why this is not advertised as a Mingtown, as it's a dependable, quite stylish - yet kinda bland - hostel chain around this part of China. Anyway, the best thing is the location, though I reckon West Lake is a bit overhyped (and overbearing with tourist hordes during the hot wet summer). I prefer the ambiance of some...

Very good location, only 15 minutes walk from the west lake and the restaurant/bar area. Clean and tidy, very well organized, it offered help with tourist information and provided me and my friends with maps of the city. Also offers the possibility to rent some bikes to cycle along the lakeside, and has got lockers in the rooms and in...

We were pleased to stay in this central location on the West Lake, close to restaurants, lakeside bars, life music bars. It is a 15 minutes walk away from both central shopping street Yan'an lu on the north and Qinghefang old street on the west. The room we were in was a late '80 top end quality, nowdays far less...

This hostel is in a perfect location. It's right by the water and the cafe has some decent food. The staff is very helpful. They even helped me call for get my Tibetan permit processed because I don't speak the language. The only thing grab an early shower as they get cleaned right in the morning. Dorm beds are clean...

We were certainly skeptical of this Mingtown hostel after staying at a terrible one in Shanghai but were pleasantly surprised by our on bed private room with a TV, water heater, private bathroom and part glass ceiling. On our first night there our roof leaked a little but they promptly moved us to another room and credited us a delicious...
