Visited Hiroshima March 25-27, 2017. Excellent little ryokan. We stayed in a Japanese style room. Clean, comfortable, and the ryokan is well placed for walking or street car access to all points of interest. The owner/manager is a delightful woman, very helpful in giving directions about how to get to a variety of places. Bathrooms and shower room were clean...

There are two main draws for this Japanese style B&B. One is the warm and friendly host who clearly wanted you to enjoy Hiroshima as much as possible. The other is the convenience of the location. All major attractions, shopping and restaurants are walking distance and if you walked far enough, just get the tram back! You do need ton...

We were greeted by the host when we came in and she was quite enthusiastic. She gave us some ideas about nearby places to sight see and how to get there. Her English wasn't the best but we did manage to communicate (I knew a bit of Japanese which helped). The stairs up to the rooms were quite small and...

Our room was located in building separate from the main establishment. We had to walk through a very dark and small corridor to reach the door (see picture attached). There were no showers available in our building, meaning that we had to walk through the street to the main building to shower. Also, the room was not clean (stains in...

This is a great relatively inexpensive ryokan in a good neighbourhood (you must find and visit Bar Strum - grey bar with friendly owner and good music!) walking distance from sights. Rooms are small and basic but comfortable and the owner is a delight - lovely lady who gives you a really great welcome. Only downsides are the walls are...

We had a nice stay in Hiroshima! During the memorial you can see the Lanterns on the water! The lady is very nice, she gave us a present and she took a picture of us! Very friendly! I recommend this place!! Traditional and nice! The room was clean, small but with Air conditioning! Very close to the city Center and...

This is a simple place, but for the price it's great. Nice proprietor, great location near the Peace Park and a #2 tram stop, comfortable futon, and a clean shared ofuro. She let us stow away our bags so we could come back at noon to fetch them. She also accommodated our early arrival. Really pleasant experience.

A convenient authentic Japanese budget accommodation, within easy walking distance of main sights. Charming owner who speaks enough English to communicate. Be aware steps to first floor sleeping area are quite steep, rooms are small for anybody with copious luggage, only one shower/bath area. Take number 6 tram from Hiroshima station (160 Yen).

The reason why I gave this place two points it's because it is perfectly located and you can walk to almost any tourist attraction. The Ryokan looks clean but it has a very disgusting smell to it. Other problem with the hostel is that it is located right next to a train station and the windows must remain open because...

Ryokan Sansui is the closest thing you can get of a Japanese B&B. The old couple running it was very lovely, the woman speaking good english. The hotel is ideally located within 10-15 minute walk from the peace park and 2 minutes walk from a tram station leading to Miyajima ferry pier. The bedroom covered in tatami is small but...

“If you need a change from Japanese food as we did, there is an American Bar and Grill within 5 mins walking distance. Its right next to the 7 store (what we call the 7/11). The hamburgers were excellent and so are the chips/ french fries (listed as fried potatoe)”
