We spent two nights at this Ryokan. Excellent location in the same block as kyoto tower, making it easy to locate on your day trips. Fantastic friendly service, and breakfast was wonderful. Very close to the the train station, restaurants, cafes, and easy to get to tourist attractions, museums etc. Very quiet at night. No traffic noises at all which...

I stayed here for four nights in the second week in October 2013. I was part of a small tour group of eight, staying in five rooms. Location is perfect, only five minutes walk from Kyoto train and bus stations and lots of eating and shopping, yet no night time noise what so ever. It is a ryokan so of...

Just a 5 minute stroll from Kyoto rail and bus station this hotel makes an ideal base from which to explore kyoto. Not much to look at from the outside but cute and homely inside. The room was clean, reasonably sized and had lovely, plump futons to sleep on. A huge department store a minute or so away with a...

I stayed here about a year ago. A great traditional style Japanese ryokan, sort of like a western Bed & Breakfast. The family who were running it were great. Great location, close to the train station but away from any noise.

Wasnt sure what to expect. An easy 3-4 minutes walk to the Kyoto station. It will take longer to get there first up as the quickest way is not easily described because of crossing roads. Shoes off at the door. Enough english is spoken here to get by. Friendly owners. Taken up to the room on the first floor. Room...

Compared to the average nightly rate at a typical ryokan, this place is actually not that expensive. That does not say that it is cheap, and whether this type of accommodation is worth the money is another discussion. The rooms are very decent and clean. Breakfast was a great way to experience Japanse tradition. The owners and the cook-girl/student were...

We stayed here for 2 nights and enjoyed the experience. It's not luxurious, but you don't expect it for the price. However, it was comfortable and had everything we needed, and we loved the breakfasts, especially the tofu! The people who served us the breakfast were very friendly and attentive. It is in a central location, so a great spot...

We had booked in for a 3-person room. When we arrived, we were greeted by the very excitable lady owner. She offered us 1 room or 2 rooms at no extra cost. We opted for the 2 rooms for some extra space. This place was great, the one and only downside was getting our suitcases up and down the long,...

My husband had visited Japan before and insisted that we must stay in a Ryokan and I am so glad he did. I absolutely loved staying here, everything from the beautiful room and the distinctive smell of the tatami mats to the gorgeous gardens was great. I think my favourite part was using the hot bath; really eased my aches...
