We enjoyed our 3 nights here. It's a modern hostel with a good vibe. The rooms are small but we weren't in the room most of the time so it didn't matter. The hostel gave useful information on things to do, places to see etc....More
It is near JR-Kyoto, going by walk and pricing starts around 3,000 yen per night. The place is clean and all facilities are complete. The room is very quiet to sleep. Staff is nice, warm welcoming and well-English speaker.
This must be the best hostel that I have ever stayed in. Affordable, great location, 5 mins walk from Kyoto station. Very clean hostel and super friendly/ helpful staff. Breakfast is provided which is a huge bonus.

Subject says it all. Everything I needed was there. Great atmosphere and super secure. Highly recommend for solo travel just looking for a cheap place to stay. Wish I had stayed there all 3 days I was in Kyoto.

Southern Kyoto has a reserved air. Though the Fushimi Inari Shrine is one of Kyoto's major tourist attractions, the surrounding nature, parks, gardens, temples, and shrines provide less-visited spaces for strolling and reflection. The Fushimi Inari Shrine itself is made up of 32,000 sub-shrines, and the mountain they are dotted across beckons hikers, picnickers, and lovers of the outdoors. Many of the
mountain's off-set paths aren't frequented by tourists, and the mountain's serenity can be enjoyed at a leisurely pace. Southern Kyoto is the place to enjoy being outside, and to pay your respects to the ancient architecture and gods of the land that are celebrated here.
