A short MK Taxi ride from Kyoto Station, the Hyatt Regency Kyoto is an older but well maintained elegant hotel. From the moment you pull up into the driveway, the staff promptly welcomes you and assists with luggage, check-in process. The check-in process was painless as the front desk team quickly took payment and confirmed room and walked us through...

The concierge gave us excellent restaurant recommendations and was very accommodating. When we requested additional duvets or material they were sent instantly. Our only down fall is the bathroom sucks

Having been to a lot of Hyatts, I would say that this Hyatt is definitely at the top of my list. The hospitality and the on-site restaurants were great. Also, the concierge desk is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about all the sites in Kyoto and in helping you figure out how to get to those places. There are also bike...

Hyatt Regency is a modern and very agreeable hotel. Nice architecture, including the ample exterior area. The room was very spacious and joyful. It is well served by several bus lines. In the other side of the street there is an important national museum (which I did not visit) and Sanjusangendo Temple, that for me is the most original and...

Nice hotel! Stayed for one night and was pleasantly surprised by accommodations. Checked in online and room was available by 10am. Loved that we were able to settle in before heading out for the day! Staff was pleasant and room amenities were complete. Loved our stay and good loacation!

A really beautiful contemporary hotel in Kyoto with modern style Japanese furnished rooms. We stayed for 2 nights only, so had limited time for sightseeing. The staff were absolutely fantastic and arranged an itinerary of places to visit, provided maps with tips on when to walk and when to catch a taxi between sights. A 5 min or so taxi...

The gardens, on-sen, swimming pools, changing room are fabulously designed. The rooms view open up to their legendary garden. The food was definitely above hotel standard, both the buffet and the a la carte. Highly recommended for relaxation time off.

Excellent except for bar service. Bartenders were aloof, didn't speak and drinks were extremely WEAK! Nuts , chips, etc were not offered, had to be asked for. Wonderful ambiance, however. Invitation from hotel manager to join them for cocktails resulted in a glass of inexpensive champagne and three bite sizes snacks! No one else was there.
