Stayed at this hotel on 09 November 2014 for one night. It was the only hotel and room available around the Kyoto Station vicinity. The room was pathetically small with just a double bed against one side of the wall. There is an attached bathroom/toilet...More
The hotel was great, it was clean and the wifi was not spotty at all unlike other hotels, the location was also convenient. The only thing is that the room was super super tiny, but expected as visiting Japan.

We wanted a hotel near the station but did not want to pay the prices of those hotels. This one was perfect for what we wanted, and was in our budget. The double bed was small, and one side was against the wall which made...More
Kyoto was a blast but all the tour trips, entrance fees to temples and sites, gifts and food started to add up. My host found this place online whilst we were touring the city and booked it for a lot less than usual. The price...More
The reasons and needs in which I booked this hotel where perfect for me. The price was very affordable and helped me keep a budget without sacrificing much. Yes my room was tiny but I was traveling by myself and didn't need much space. This...More

Shimogyo-ku is centered around the busy train hub, Kyoto Station. A nexus for commerce, shopping, dining, and hotels, the Shimogyo-ku area is infused with tourists and local business travelers, making it a competitive location for ever-new commercial structures. The shops and cafes here are chic and trendy, as a result, with many recognizable chains. Commuters flood the Shimogyo-ku area twice a day, and
with Kyoto Station itself being a modern mega-complex and an architectural marvel, this neighborhood is one of the most contemporary and energetic areas that the city has to offer. Buildings here look futuristic, and huge department stores, shopping arcades, and public meeting spaces provide every possible convenience. It is also nearly the only place in Kyoto where rooftop dining and socializing is available, completing its modern tone.
I am going to bring my family to Kyoto the end of next month, and I hope to book a room for 6 adults (3 female + 3 male) and 1 baby (about 23 months old and very sweet girl). Do you still have 1 or 2 rooms available for us (March 31st to April 3rd, these 4 nights which days you have room. We can stay 2 or 3 nights)?
The room suggested -
1. One room: 6 beds Japanese style tatami or just normal beds with 1 or 2 private bathrooms.
2. Two rooms: One is 4 beds mixed dormitory with a private bathroom, and the other one is one big bed for parents and baby with a private bathroom.
Please do let me know A.S.A.P. so that I can arrange our schedule now.
Thank you so much and have nice day!
