We have stayed in other Japanese business-style hotel chains before and we are so glad we discovered the Via Inn chain. This is one their hotels around the Shin Osaka area - the closest one in fact - and so easy to get to! Exit through the East Gate, down the stairs (or lift), go left and walk towards the...

As others have said, this hotel is near to Shin-Osaka Station, which provides speedy Shinkansen and local train service to cities like Kyoto, Kobe and even Hiroshima. This is a big advantage over hotels in Umeda and Namba because an extra journey on metro may be needed if you travel from these areas to the above-mentioned places. The rooms are...

Located next to the Shin-Osaka station, this place is very convenient when you've to travel around during your stay. The rooms where bigger than Japanese standards and clean. Internet connection is free of charge and good, the staff was really helpful, I enjoyed the stay there and will come back. On Saturday morning, you can find a second hand market between...

As with all the Via Inns, this is a great hotel used mostly by Japanese business people. Clean, efficient, simple and very reasonable. This one is located just outside the south exit doors of Shin Osaka train station. Highly recommend for travellers who want a nice hotel that is not for show. Keep in mind rooms are much smaller than...

Great location as it's just a 5 min walking distance from Shin-Osaka station. But the rooms are tiny (we stayed as a couple). After parking our luggages, there's hardly space left to walk around the room! And the noise from the nearby train tracks can be heard (although minimal after midnight). The breakfast is nothing to wake up for (although...

The hotel is located very close to the shin-osaka station but the hotel and the room itself are very small and narrow keeping some good standards in terms of cleanliness and amenities. The receptionists didn't speak good English and that was a minus

As the last hotel we're staying during our trip in Japan, we're looking for a pleasant hotel to stay but we didn't have budget left for a 5-star hotel. We went for Via Inn as it seems to have a better standard (looking at the website) compared to its business hotel counterparts. We weren't mistaken. The room is modernly decorated,...

Good location, just 5min walk from Shin-Osaka JR Station. Room is really small, but very clean. Good service provided by the staff. Our room had the view of the Shinkansen, but good thing the hotel had the sound proof shield.

Via Inn in Osaka is a nice Hotel, not far from Station. The rooms are small, but there is all. Extremely clean. The hotel has all the comforts: good wifi, comfortable bed, clean and with good breakfast included. Inside the same building there is a shop like 7/11, but better where you can buy food, cigarettes and all you need....

Of the six hotels/inns that we stayed in during our recent 2-week Japan holiday, Via Inn Shin-Osaka was the property that I had the least expectations yet yielded the best return. We were to arrive at Kansai Int'l late at night and were scheduled to catch a Shinkansen to Tokyo early the following day. So we needed a room near...
