The room was a bit average. Big note: children are not allowed in the swimming pool. Much to the disappointment of our children, we did not pick up on this when we booked otherwise we would have gone elsewhere. Location is OK. Did not eat there so could not comment on food.

We stayed five nights using my Starwood points. It was our first stay in Osaka and just had to take a chance to find somewhere to stretch my points despite the reviews on this hotel. It turned out that we were pleasantly surprised. Firstly, I would concord with the quality of the rooms, we stayed on the 15th floor and...

We stayed at this hotel from October 8 to the 12. We booked a trip with a tour company and arrived at the hotel 2 days in before the tour was scheduled to begin. We booked our room for the first 2 days directly with the hotel, on the 16th floor. This room was quite comfortable with a king sleeper...

Stayed at the Osaka Sheraton for free for three nights using Starwood points. Previous reviews were VERY accurate. The hotel is in a great area to explore Osaka. It is conveniently located next to a few subway/rail stops and jetting around the city is a breeze. However, if you are using a rail pass and want to see Kyoto, Hiroshima,...

My wife and I stayed at the Miyako last week for 3 nights after liking the look of it on the web and trusting that a Sheraton would be of a high standard. We were very impressed when we first arrived as the lobby of the hotel is absolutely beautiful, but got something of a surprise when we stepped out...

We had a premium sweet sleeper room with a king size bed, which was very comfortable. The shower had great water pressure (better than I have at home) and the bathroom had the usual plethora of amenities. The hotel staff was very pleasant and accommodating. We had ordered baseball tickets (which I highly recommend even if you're not a baseball...

Another stay because of Starwood points (only $30 a night plus points). As someone(s) have stated before, this isn't exactly the best hotel to use as a basis for traveling to other cities in the Kansai region via a Japan Rail pass (though I highly recommend using Osaka as a jumping off point...just from a different hotel). It *is* well-located...

This was the last hotel we stayed in Japan. We were here for a bit over a week and the hotel was very average. The service was ok and some of the staff seemed to have little english comprehension which was surprising for an international hotel. We got an old room which was very 1970s but it was clean and...

We booked a triple share room at this hotel for a one night stay and found the rooms and service as expected for a Sherton hotel. The room contained 3 king size single beds for a triple share at AUS$165 per night with plenty of room to move around the beds and the desk in the room. The bathroom was...

I stayed at Sheraton Miyako in January 2008 and some parts of the hotel were under renovation. Some floors were totally revamped to "Sheraton standard" but some floor were still stuck in the 1970s era Howard Johnson motel standard. Apparently before Sheraton took it over, it was locally managed Miyako Hotel. You could still see reminiscene of it in parts...
