Hotel manager friendly, knowledgeable and knows his customers. Made us feel very welcomed and even gave us goodbye gifts. Room big enough for our family of 3 - child is 12 y.o. Housekeeping staff comes in to make our futon beds each night when are out. Very comfortable but pillows are bit hard. Beads on one side and normal the...

We wanted to experience ryokan style of accomodation without compromising on the location. After seeking some opinions, we settled on the above. When we first arrived from the train station, we were slightly off course and took us pretty long to find the place. The room size was okay and we got a room that faces the river. Was quite...

Ishibashi at the front desk at night was so friendly and so lovely and warm to have someone greet you when you get back from the long day. We got free farewell gifts, cheese cake on our last night, free tea, free biscuits such a pleasant experience! Located in the best area in between dotomburi and shisaibashi next to the...

Really comfortable and reasonably priced place, right in the centre of Dotombori. The staff were excellent; very helpful and welcoming. We were travelling with 9 month old twins and we were surprised at how comfortable the room was. We all slept comfortably on the futons and had a fantastic view of the canal. Very clean. Only real problem is that...

This ryokan is the first place I opted to stay in during my 2-week trip to Osaka, Japan. Ask for directions to Soemoncho - it proved to be somewhat hard to locate the hotel from the closest subway station. I had to ask a few people for directions along the way. Called the staff at the ryokan for help but...

A great place to stay, great value for money. The staff were so friendly and helpful (even looking up our onward train times and printing them out for us). The room was excellent, spacious, clean and comfortable. The public bath was lovely too - superbly clean and a good size, with everything provided (such as shampoo, towels and even razors)....

The communal hot bath is great as is the traditional room. The staff were helpful the room was clean and although the lobby is small there is free wifi but smoking is allowed there. The property runs between a busy street in a nightclub and bar area and backs onto a canal. Get a room that faces the rear and...

Staff did go out of their way to provide service. Picked up forgotten purse with passports and delivered it to the taxi door seconds before departure to airport. Hotel is located in lively Namba neighbourhood. Room included big windows that could actually open wide, fridge and plenty of cokets for electrical appliances.

I stayed at Kaneyoshi Ryokan with my wife and her aunt in February 2012. We had a lovely stay and were very impressed with the friendly service and the lovely breakfast. The Ryokan is in a fantastic location for sightseeing and for access to the train stations. The gentleman at reception was extremely helpful with directions, train times and general...

We stayed 1 night in this Ryokan after reading the reviews here. I would have to say I disagree with the views expressed here. It's an old, tired Ryokan and I had a most uncomfortable stay. The only good thing I can say is its good location and proximity to Dotombori. The price is very expensive, food is average and...
