Due to my lack of planning I had limited options for accommodation in Osaka. This hostel is located in Shin-Osaka, a stop away from Osaka central but still on the JR line. And it's convenient to the station, about a 10 minute walk. Hostel is very clean but comes with some oddities such as a communal bath and automatic /...

it was quite a walk from the station and a bit tricky to find. but even if i got there at almost midnight, the receptionist was so polite in checking me in and showing me to my room. it slept in a dorm room and it did feel like a dorm room - with bunk beds and a shared bathroom...

Most of the staff are young maybe that's why their service were not so good. But then again it's a hostel so I won't complain much about that. I feel like living in dormitory with speaker telling us the coffee is ready in lobby, time to sleep please switch off your light etc. Very interesting experience tho the toilet is...

(From Steph who stayed here April 2014): All very clean, wifi in the main lobby, western and "eastern" toilets, communal shower but also solo shower stall with not a very long line. Unfortunately some of our group had to sleep on mattresses on tatami mats because beds were limited in the rooms, and the pillows were not comfortable. Breakfast was...

Stayed here for one night in the dorm room for 6 as I had to catch the shinkansen back to Tokyo early the next morning, and the location was supremely located close to the JR Shin-Osaka station. I guess there's a reason why the prices here are slightly more expensive than most other hostels - apart from location, it's new,...

I'd stayed in Shin Osaka Youth Hostel from February 11-14th and it was a good stay for me and my friends. We're backpackers group from Malaysia, and all I can said it was indeed, a good, super good hostel for backpackers. The dormitory room for 6 with tatami room was splendid, with clean and spacious common room. Wi-Fi, and free...

Very little trouble reaching it. Love a nice hot bath available when I got there. The biggest issue is the curview put in place. An extra plus was the fact that there's alcohol available on site. Had a good stay.

I spent here 3 nights in 2 different moments of my journey in Japan. The location is ok (5 min from shin-osaka train station) and easy to find (don't understand some critics in previous reviews..). the japanese style public bath is an excellent feature when just landing in kansai airport from europe. free wi fi, big lockers, english speaking staff...

I used this youth hostel literally for a stop over on my way north. It did the job but I wouldn't stay there again. It was close to the train station, although I had difficulty finding it at 11pm and had to ask in a hotel and restaurant to find it. (come out east gate of train station, cross the...
