I loved this place, located next to Urakami Cathedral, very near the Atomic Bomb sites. I am not usually a hosteller, but had to choose between an expensive hotel room or a dormitory space here for $20 per night. So glad I did, as the staff were welcoming, warm and English speaking. Take their advice on where to eat. The...

Just for making the title less dubious - Nagasaki is undoubtedly the center of Christianity in Japan, so I chose Catholic Youth Hostel with a room view to Urakami Cathedral. Differently from my expectations, it was lit for approximately 1 hour only, but I partly agree it's more eco-friendly to do this way. I came to Nagasaki as quite a...

It takes 10 min on foot to the famous Peace Park of Nagasaki and the station of Nagasaki Trolley is also not far form the Hostel. In a world, the hostel is very...

I would imagine most visitors visit Nagasaki for its atomic past. This hostel is located about 10 minutes' walk from the museum and the epic centre. About 10 minutes walk...

I've chosen this hostel because I heard it was where Pope John Paul II stayed. This was my first time to stay in a hostel, and I was not disappointed. The hostel is very accessible from the JR station by street car. From the JR Station take the number 1 or 3 street car for Akasako. Get off at Matsuyama-Machi...

This is a very well maintained hostel. I read somewhere that Pope stayed a night in 1981.I stayed one night in a bank bed in a shared room and one night in a tatami room by myself. The prices per a person were same. The bank bed had a small storage area and an electric outlet. The curtain gave me...
