Well appointed hotel, rooms with all the necessary amenities required. Staff were helpful in assistance with some printing, WiFi a little up and down throughout the stay and limited snack menu midweek at downstairs hotel was only open for breakfast during my stay. Would've liked to have eaten in the Brasserie. But overall, expectations were met and a clean, comfy stay in an area close to public transport and KLCC.
I really like the design of the hotel and the rooms. The bar at the top has a great view of the KL Tower with the pool in front of the bar. Booked for 3 nights and really enjoyed my stay. Staff were great, checkin was smooth and housekeeping kept my room clean. At first I thought the location was a bit odd, until I realized it was within the heritage area. It's surrounded by a lot of restaurants and bars, and also walking distance from the LRT and Monorail. I do need to highlight that it's not 100% soundproof. I recall one afternoon where I heard the door nearby kept opening and closing, which I later found out it was from the room in front of mine. I think the maintenance and housekeeping kept going in and out of the room. It was a bit distracting. And you can definitely hear people passing by the corridor. Notes: - in-room dining is very limited, despite being available until midnight. but you're surrounded by restaurants so I think that's not an issue - TV channels are limited as well - For the room that I had, the sink is located outside, apart from the toilet and shower. The problem is they don't provide hand wash or soap, so you have to pump from the body wash in the shower. Tip: - if you're taking the LRT, alight at Dang Wangi and take the escalator on the right, which leads to the covered bridge. This path is much closer to the hotel.…
The hotel is as very central for KL Tower and Petronas towers . The room of top bar and pool were excellent with amazing views. We were fortunate to watch base jumpers from KL TOWER. Downside was definitely the internet connection. It was terrible and that’s putting it kindly. Breakfast was mediocre, nothing special. Staff were quite aloof in the breakfast dining area. The room space was ok but strange to have a sink on the bedroom rather than bathroom, We were on the top floor, 2005 and the view was a brick wall.
Lovely hotel . Idea position , surrounded by bars and eateries . Staff lovely , very helpful . Breakfast good , plenty of choice . Room spacious Rooftop bar has amazing view. Room would have benefited from a safe and mini fridge .
We stayed at Stripes for 3 night at the beginning of December. While not large, the room was nice. although I thought the sink being in the bedroom rather than the bathroom a bit odd. Breakfast was self service with plenty of choice. The hotel pool has lovely views which come in to their own at night, but it's equally good for just relaxing after a mornings sightseeing, and I can highly recommend the French fries with parmesan cheese for a tasty snack while relaxing. The hotel is close to the metro and monorail so getting about is easy; we travelled to and from the airport by metro which was quite straightforward and cheaper than a taxi. Definitely a hotel to consider if you're heading to KL.
Great boutique hotel with a fab rooftop bar giving the best view of the Skytower and a glimpsing view of the Petronas Twin Towers. We had limited time in KL and this location was perfect for us. 5 mins walk to shopping Mall ( also monorail stop ) and nearest ATM ( located on ground floor ) and an easy ( if not hot ) , 15 min walk to the twin Towers.
Lovely hotel and great location. The view from the roof bar was stunning in the evening and a great place to relax. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. The dining room was comfortable, always clean and had a real calmness to it. There was a great selection of well presented food and a chef who cooked my poached eggs brilliantly. The restaurant was closed on Saturday and Sunday evening but we found a lovely restaurant 2 doors down who served up a wonderful curry. If we ever go back to Kuala Lumpur I would definitely stay at this hotel. Thank you all for an enjoyable and memorable stay.
Stayed at Hotel Stripes for one night after arriving on a late night flight. Was accommodated in a Studio room as a Bonvoy Plat. Received a nice note and a cute welcome gift of a bottle of iced gems (cookies). The hotel was able to send up the welcome amenity of juice and dessert to the room despite it being after midnight. We thought the room was well-appointed, though the fruit scented toiletries were a little too funky for our liking. There were some service missteps. We had breakfast at the hotel's Brassiere which was overcrowded. Food was not replenished and overwhelmed staff tried to seat multiple groups at the same tables. The duty manager assured us that the hotel was ramping up its staffing levels. The front desk agent also double charged our credit card but we were pleased that the hotel caught the mistake and addressed the issue before our departure. The hotel is well located with cafes and restaurants in the vicinity. We particularly liked Limapulo and 103 Coffee Chow Kit. We would be open to returning for another stay.…
Stayed for 5 days and 4 nights: 1. Clean and spacious room. 2. Very thoughtful hotel team. We mentioned in our Agoda booking that we will spend our honeymoon in KL. Upon arrival in our room, they left a note "Happy Honeymoon" and a chocolate cake. 3. Good location. Near several restaurants and bars: Limapulo, Yut Lee and Joloko. Near convenience stores: 7-Eleven and KK Mart. 4. They make up the room daily. 5. Good room facilities: hot shower, bidet, toiletries, coffee machine, etc. 6. Very beautiful roof deck bar and pool. Perfect view of KL Tower. 7. Smooth check-in and check-out. 8. We haven't tried the food and breakfast buffet since we opted to go around the food shops near the hotel. 9. Near the LRT station. Highly recommended hotel when staying in KL. Thank you so much! …
Stayed for 5 nights over Christmas, really enjoyed my time here. The hotel is very stylish and the room I had was spacious and modern, its in a cool little part of KL, not far from KLCC San easily accessible by cab, MRT or walking. The area feels very safe even at night and Malaysian people are so friendly and polite, there are some great little restaurants just meters from the hotel so you don't have to go far to find a huge range of food. As everyone else has mentioned the rooftop bar/pool has fantastic views across the city. All of the staff I came into contact with were courteous and helpful, especial thanks to Veronika on reception who quickly and efficiently changed my room when the original one didn't suit my requirements. Also a big shout out to the guys that work on the rooftop bar for their friendly and excellent service.…
