It’s time for a major renovation. We’ve been staying here since it opened and sadly time has not been kind to either the rooms or the public spaces. It’s tired and feels dated The rooms have the most uncomfortable sofas of any hotel I’ve stayed in Check in is always slow and breakfast just too busy. It’s exciting at first to see the huge choice but tiresome that it just so spread out. Sadly until we see some renovations it will be our last stay.
From the time we checked and got the cookie to the msgs to check on our comfort to their breakfast.. Everything was splendid. The breakfast spread was too good.. from indian, continental, Chinese and Mediterranean.. all the food was good. Everyday they had different items as well.
Hilton Doubletree KL has always been my go-to staycation place in KL. Amazing check in service at the executive lounge, especially by Shalinda and Zurina (I hope I got their names right). They also offer great service during the evening tea session. Breakfast is great as always, despite the CNY 2023 holidays and long queue to enter the Makan Kitchen coffeehouse, we only waited in line for less than 5 minutes. Aishah guided us to our table, despite noticing that she’s busy with many patrons to entertain, she still welcomed us with a warm smile. The bell service has always been great. Been here quite a number of times and I badly remember any of their names, but each of them have been very kind and helpful. Upon checking out, yet again having a long queue due to the CNY holidays, the bell service personnel came to us in the line, one by one to confirm our room numbers checking out, and we didn’t have to wait in line anymore. We could leave right away as check out and receipts are then sent to us via email. I stay in hotels quite often and I would always benchmark their services against Doubletree Hilton KL’s service. In fact, even when I was in Phuket in September 2022, I chose to stay in both Hilton hotels there expecting the same great standards they should offer, at par to Doubletree Hilton KL. I can safely say all the Hilton chains have top-notch service. Well done!…
We booked into this hotel on 18 January for our 17 years anniversary. we both are accomplished singers but how we are treated sucks. The hotel treated us as liabilities and rubbish that needs to be discarded. I will reveal to you the bare facts of the case. You, my readers judge for yourselves. The hotel treat you very nice so long as you do not trouble them. some hotels are like that. everyone can smile like Mr. O Rourke so long as there is no trouble or incident. But the real test of the hotel comes when they are faced with an emergency that happens suddenly. that's where the star rating starts. me and my wife are stars in our own right. /But our complaint goes beyond stars. it touched basic humanity which the hotel failed to deliver. /my wife had quite a number of falls due to the negligence of the hotel and the GM has the cheek to tell his workers not to assist us saying we do not provide provide (hospital services) Haven't I heard from somewhere that hotels and hospitals are interchangeable. all the facilties in the hotel are sufficient to cater for most cases and my wife's case is not an I.C.U. case. I pray that Double Tree will become a hospital unlike Tune Hotel formerly Sentosa hospital. My wife has been having bad dreams due to the ill treatment by Double Tree. also physical due to the irresponsibility of certain staffs. You can ask the GM for the facts. was there a couple Cassandra Lai Fun Tze and her husband who booked into the hotel for the anniversary. How would like your wife to be mishandled and dragged roughly to the bed because you are a liability to the hotel. (you impede my progress. the hotel is fully booked). I pray that the hotel will be fully unbooked to learn a lesson. and I will definitely speak more about this matter on other websites about the hypocrisy of Double Tree. [Every dog 🐩 has his day].…
I stayed here for two nights as a Diamond member. I arrived at 2pm and was able to check in. Check in was good but not over friendly and the Honors desk was unmanned. I was given a room on the 29th floor and it was not large but was definitely adequate. I used the Executive lounge for happy hour on both nights and found the staff superb. The spread of food was excellent and different both nights. The staff were attentive and friendly. I ate breakfast in the main restaurant on level 11 on the first morning. I found the staff unhelpful and a little rude, certainly not like the Hilton hotel over the other side of the city. The food was okay but the fruit selection was lacking in my view. I had breakfast in the Executive Lounge on the last day and this was much better staff attitude wise. I tried the sauna and steam room and the guy on the desk in the gym was rude and didn’t offer a locker key and gruffly pointed out where the facilities were. When I got to the changing room both the sauna and steam room were not operational and I had to attempt to switch them in myself. Surely the guy on reception could have helped with this. The steam room finally heated up but the sauna was broken and didn’t; overall, this aspect of my stay was unacceptable. I was asked for a later checkout on the last day and this was granted, which I was thankful for. Checkout was friendly and accurate.…
The check in service was not very good. Only 1 counter was opened. The room was dated and there are some marks on the furniture and the bed sheet. The room was a bit dark even turn on all the lights. The air-con only blew cold air may be 15 mins every hour with loud noise.
Excellent location. Room is very nice and a spacious. Breakfast buffet is awesome!! They have food from all regions. You won’t be disappointed. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Grab is the way to go in KL.
Iss a great hotel, but parking need to be improved.. Because my car park at level4 as board instructions.. Too bad, the car park slightly dark due to many of the light not working.. And lift to the lobby or car park very slow.. Feel scary when alone waiting with slight darkness.. Over facilities and room cleanliness are quite good.. But shower area easily splash out water until whole toilet very wet.. And the shower holder very old and start drop some parts..
We stayed 5 nights at Double Tree by Hilton and I highly recommended this hotel. The customer service from reception, housekeeping, and during breakfast are top class and faultless! We stayed in the King guest room and it is clean, spacious and well equipped. The buffet breakfast was delicious and had a good spread of different cuisines, ie. local malay and western. The only complaint I had is that the standard in the Chinese meal section is poor. Very happy with the Malay and Indian meals which are delightful and there are subtle changes each day. The location is perfect as it is near the Ampang Park LRT, and being in the Intermark mall have added benefits. Join the Hilton honours club and enjoy this exquisite hotel! Lastly the gym is fantastic too.
Tosca restaurant’s Geoffrey, Makan restaurant’s Amin & Housekeeping’s Reza serve from their heart- these clearly resonate from their works. In fact, Reza delegated with specific instructions on his day off, just so that my suite is maintained with excellence. An unfortunate malfunction of the minibar destroyed my medication- a serious consequence since I would be in KL for a weeklong. The ingenuity of Operations Manager Lycan Hon led to his suggestion for a visit to Gleneagles Hospital, & the immediacy of the situation led to the payment of the full bill using his personal credit card before claims can be approved- a touching initiative uncommon in the corporate scene. Truly, the physical positioning of the senior exec office behind the front desk provides the all-important support for smooth running. & having the senior management truly caring for the entire team resulted in a team that do care for their guests. Well done, GM Daniel Alcaraz & Lycan.…
