I stayed here for 3 nights with my partner in a twin room, we made an extremely last minute booking after making a 30 hour door to door journey to KL and arriving at a horrific guest house that we had pre booked from the U.K. Despite us booking and arriving within 20 minutes they were able to accommodate us....

Clean dorms and bathrooms, free dinner, good location, free water refill and cozy beds. We enjoyed our stay there to the fullest. Only thing we didn't liked was the fact that if you don't want to party it is very loud and you can't fall asleep until the music is out.

So the ideas are good; having curtains for the bunks, 24hr reception, rooftop bar etc etc and the bathrooms are nice. Security is good. HOWEVER the walls are paper thin and the beds feel like they are made of concrete. You can hear literally every little move anyone makes and combined with the thumping music means getting any sleep here...

We slept in the dorm furthest away from the roof top and it was totally fine with the music! It was clean, modern and over all a cool place. The roof top is really nice and the choice of music was awesome! The staff were a bit unengaged though. It would also be even more fun if people NOT stayed...

Had a really positive stay at reggae mansion. It was my first visit to KL and came for the weekend with some friends. We had a private room of four. The room was clean and surprisingly spacious, the staff are really friendly helpful and the rooftop bar is a good place to meet new people and have a chill drink...

I had heard nothing but good things about raggae mansion from fellow travelers. My experience was nothing but bad things there. Although I will say I shouldn't exactly be shocked, but this was a bit eye opening for me: I witnessed someone almost get beaten to death by 5 malays outside the hostel. Security watched on as if they didn't...

I've traveled and stayed in countless hostels and I rarely go out of my way to write a negative review on any of them. However, as a government policy worker in the US- I would not forgive myself if I don't attempt to warn fellow travelers of color about this hostel. I've stayed in this hostel for a little over...

The only reason i did not give 5 stars is due to the fact that there are a lot of rules to stay here. I understand the need for all the rules due to the high number of guests and the attempt to maintain the cleanliness of the hostel. However it is a little nerve racking to pay attention to...

This hostel is located right in the centre of KL, a few minutes walk from China town. It was the perfect base to travel around the area. There is a cool rooftop bar which is good for partying at night, but the hostel itself is pretty quiet. Great beds. I would definitely stay again if in KL.
