This hotel exceeds expectations in every department. This was our third stay at the MO in KL and we just wouldn’t stay anywhere else. We stayed for 13 nights in total; 6 on a room only rate with the remaining 7 nights including club lounge access. The club lounge chefs, as usual, provided quality, tasty breakfast, afternoon tea and wonderful evening buffet daily. Samantha and her colleagues looked after us so well, keeping our free-flowing Bollinger champagne glasses full ( included in the price during Hours 5-7pm). Razman and Suween also deserve a special mention. Our large and beautiful bedroom, 2324, overlooking the pool and KLCC park, was cleaned with care twice daily by happy and helpful room attendants. Our main reason for staying was to relax and we knew from previous stays that we would do this at the pool area. The pool staff, led by Tajul, took care of us daily with outstanding 5 star service; Suman, Kader, Sajedul, and Aladdin were the sweetest and attentive colleagues who work very, very hard. We enjoyed the food and drink provided by the chefs at the Aqua restaurant. We love the newly refurbished cabanas. Make sure you join the MO fan club for perks. We also benefitted from the pay for 2 nights get the 3rd free room offer. We will be back.

The hotel is not new, but this is its plus. The interior has marble and natural wood, rather than modern concrete and gray. Everything is cleaned to a shine, all the plumbing and equipment works, and most importantly, everything is perfectly thought out, from the string for swimming trunks in the shower to the comfortable chair for a cup of coffee by the panoramic window. I highly recommend visiting the pool overlooking the park, where you can also have a snack and feed the children. The location of the hotel near shopping centers and singing fountains (they are literally around the corner of the house) made it possible to go everywhere only on foot and enjoy the capital. The bed is comfortable, the room is perfectly clean, really neat. And most importantly, the hotel has retained the atmosphere of luxurious service. The team always managed to exceed my expectations even in small things. Thank you for a luxurious holiday.

Stay at Mandarin Oriental was fabulous. The hotel was very clean, and our two-bedroom apartment was spacious and extremely comfortable. The beds were cozy, and both bathrooms were immaculately clean. The apartment was fully equipped with a kitchen and a washing machine. Housekeeping service was provided twice a day, a frequency I have never encountered before. The housekeeping team was the best aspect of this hotel.
Breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of options. The downstairs breakfast room was excellent, while the upstairs room was somewhat run down and could benefit from refurbishment to meet the overall high standards of the hotel.
The hotel's location was another highlight, being adjacent to Suria Mall and KLCC Park, which was a bonus. The Petronas Towers are just a two-minute walk away, and the bustling Bukit Bintang area is a 14-minute walk at a normal pace.
Overall, this is a spectacular hotel.
Disliked · The reception experience was disappointing. There was no welcoming atmosphere, and the reception team was extremely slow. Unfortunately, I was assisted by an inexperienced staff member during check-in, who required me to pay an additional £600, refundable if we did not use any chargeable facilities. This staff member repeatedly had to seek guidance from managers ( It appeared that the managers were sitting in the adjacent room) who were not present at the reception, prolonging the check-in process to 40 minutes, which should have been straightforward.
This was very disappointing. Managers or a supervisor for the reception team should be present in the reception area to provide immediate support. This is a Mandarin Oriental hotel, and professionalism and hospitality should be paramount. Regrettably, I must deduct one point from the overall score due to the level of discomfort caused by the check-in team.

We arrived around 10am and thought we might not be able to check in yet, but as we were going through the formalities at the front desk, they let us check in early, saying that the room was just ready.

This was my second visit and it was a room with a park view on the opposite side of the room from the last one, but it was different from the Twin Towers and both have great views.

Breakfast was a bit crowded around 9am. In addition to the Western, the varied menu of roti chanai and dim sum is a diverse country, perfect for gluttons like me. It was also the mid-autumn festival, so I was blissfully able to choose mooncakes and chocolates from the pastry shops.

Every nook and cranny of the common area, from the guest room to the lobby and pool, was well-kept and comfortable.

I feel comfortable around the lobby, the F&B, and the fact that each member of staff passing by is kind and the warm service is stable.

Fabulous hotel from the minute we arrived - room was ready by 10am and they gave us breakfast while we waited for the room.

Great room upgrade overlooking the Petronas Towers.
We always had exceptional service from both Aaron and Kiranjit at Concierge helping us book trips and cars.
Bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom had everything needed and more.

Plenty of fresh bottle water given every day.

The pool area had great views over KLCC PARK and the staff again were attentive. Always making sure we were ok and giving us plenty of water to drink and a daily treat of fruit skewers.

Breakfast had a huge selection and you could ask for anything if you didn’t see it. They made my daughter’s 30th birthday very special with balloons and a cake.
Great hotel in perfect location.

Our room was refreshed daily by Hasan who always made sure we had everything we needed.

Just rounded out 4 nights at the Mandarin Oriental in KL and WOW what an experience. Travelling with 2 kids we decided to splash out on our stopover back to Australia and booked a club twin room. As soon as we arrived we got whisked away to a private 24th floor check with unobstructed views of Petronas Towers which was amazing. The room was a city view twin and was a great size for us. Upon entering the room we were pleasantly surprised with a phone call from the Front Office manager Robin who went above and beyond with exceptional customer service. He upgraded us to a one bedroom suite that was double the size of our original room. It was such an unbelievable experience. The hotel staff are all very kind and welcoming. Every day from housekeeping to the lobby concierge, they would all say hello and wish you well. The kids club and hotel pool are fantastic and the kids used both a number of times. Breakfast is 5 star with an unbelievable selection of hot and cold food. I loved my barista made double shot cap every morning. Finally I would like to comment on the executive lounge. Can I say, it is so worth booking a club room. The food in the lounge was restaurant quality and changed every night with something to cater for all tastes. Once again the staff in the lounge went above and beyond to make sure you were well looked after. ‘Zam’ who works in the lounge was the shining light. He always had a smile on his face and always made sure you were comfortable. He led from the front with customer service and is a true asset to the hotel.
Our family cannot speak highly enough of this hotel and strongly recommend it when you are considering a nice place to stay in central KL right next to the Petronas towers and KL Central Park.
Thanks again Robin, Zam and all the staff for making our staff a truly memorable one.

What struck me most was the perfect balance between professionalism and warmth. The hotel manages to maintain its high standards while creating a wonderfully welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are meticulously maintained, and the little thoughtful touches – from the turndown service to the personalized welcome note – made us feel special. The restaurant staff deserve special mention for their outstanding recommendations.

The Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur is known for being one of the more affordable MO locations, and while the lower price is reflected in a slight reduction in offerings compared to higher-priced MO properties, it remains a lovely and relaxing place to spend the Christmas and New Year holidays.

We stayed in a Club Patronas Tower View room, which was beautifully appointed. The bathroom felt a bit outdated, but the double doors gave it a classic charm. However, the shower was a letdown—small, with a low showerhead that required me to bend over, making the space feel even more cramped.

The Club facilities were under renovation, so the lounge was relocated to a suite. Unfortunately, the temporary space wasn’t large enough to accommodate the number of guests, and seating was often unavailable, particularly in the evenings. That said, the lounge offerings were strong. Afternoon tea, while not served on a traditional three-tier tray like at MO Hong Kong, was excellent—the green scones were phenomenal and a highlight, even though we rarely attended. Evening cocktails were enjoyable, but the food selection was limited. Champagne was only available from 5–7 PM, unlike the all-day service in Singapore, but it was high quality and generously poured—better than the stingy service at MO Hong Kong, despite the much higher price of their suites.

Breakfast at both the main restaurant and the club restaurant was just average, but the poolside dining stood out. The Malaysian dishes were exceptional, and even international options like nachos and fries were well-executed and reasonably priced. The recently renovated MO Bar, while small and dimly lit, offered fine drinks, with Bollinger served throughout the property.

Overall, this hotel offers excellent value. The service and club room offerings are comparable to MO Hong Kong, despite being significantly more affordable. While it doesn’t quite reach the high standards of MO Singapore, that’s understandable given the price difference. For what it costs, the Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur delivers a solid and enjoyable luxury experience.

We recently stayed at the Mandarin Oriental for two days, and it was a truly unforgettable experience for our family, especially for our 3-year-old daughter, as it was her first-ever hotel stay. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was impeccable. The staff were so welcoming and friendly that our daughter felt completely at ease, and we, as parents, were deeply touched by the genuine warmth extended to us.

A special thank you to Koenraad from the front desk, who went above and beyond to welcome us and assist us throughout our stay. Your kindness and professionalism made a big difference. Also, a heartfelt shoutout to Hanna from the Lounge at the Park for being incredibly friendly and thoughtful. You made our time there extra special.

We would also like to extend our gratitude to Edward and Mohana from the front desk, as well as all the staff during the breakfast buffet service. Your quick actions and concern when helping us recover a family pendant we lost during breakfast meant the world to us. Thank you for going the extra mile—it showed how much you truly care for your guests.

The smiles from every staff member were so warm and genuine that it made the hotel feel like a home away from home. Our family felt so cared for, and these little moments of kindness left a lasting impression.

One small suggestion: it would be wonderful if the kids' club could be improved. Additionally, providing a small stool in the bathroom would be helpful, so little ones can easily reach the sink to wash their hands and to brush their teeth.

Thank you again, Mandarin Oriental, for making our daughter's first hotel stay so memorable. We will definitely coming back soon hopefully during our daughter’s birthday in February.

Fabulous stay with access to the Club/Executive Lounge. We've experienced many Club Lounges in KL, but the Mandarin's Club Lounge is still our favourite: it is spacious and beautifully furnished on a high floor with great views of the City and the Twin Towers. The service is good and the food is of a high quality, with the drinks being generously dispensed. The lounge serves breakfast, afternoon tea and evening cocktails (with hot food/snacks). The staff in the Club Lounge were all great, especially Mizah, Rahezam and Razman, who went the extra mile to make our stay a memorable one.

Our suite was also beautifully furnished, with a large separate lounge area. The toiletries in the bathroom are in containers to the wall, but we didn't care for the coconut scent. Housekeeping was of a high standard.

We had a lovely poolside dinner at the Aqua Restaurant, and the hotel arranged a small birthday surprise, which was a nice touch. The poolside restaurant is very relaxing and has a great view of the KL night skyline.

This hotel has a great location, being just opposite the Twin Towers and the Suria KLCC shopping centre. There are several restaurants in the hotel, and although the quality is high, the prices are expensive.

Yes they accept cash deposit, i think it is better than the credit card, as the refund for credit card deposit take longer time. the deposit I paid is around 20% of my total stay cost.
