Our stay in Kuala Lumpur was from 4th January to 8ty Jan 2020.

So here's my review with lots of good and some bad experience

To start the hotel is very beautiful and is in a prime location , just opposite KL tower. Our check-in was done smoothly (Early checkin was as we had reached early ) and the front office staff I mostly interacted with was Hemal,Mohammed & Lingaya . Very courteous people and helpful. Then comes the room, we were a room on the 20th floor .. the room was beautiful and with pleasing view. The bathroom was beautiful too but my 1st problem started here. The WC water faucet was faulty. We called the Front Desk and Maintenance staff was sent, the problem seemed like unfixable at that time so our room was changed to 2111.. a similar room with similar view but the problem with the WC was similar too wherein the water pressure was not proper.. but we were tired and slept for the day ..next morning I met the Duty Manager Azizi, very helpful and attentive and showed him the issue.. he upgraded our stay to a Suite room which was a beautiful room with KL tower view.. the room issue was then sorted. The service staff during breakfast were very good and professional. breakfast was good and tasty..the housekeeping staff were also good but whenever we requested for additional towel or bathrobes or any additional housekeeping requests it just took forever to fulfil, the response was very delayed Everytime. Same with room service very slow. Lastly we also left something back while movings room, so we contacted the front desk and lost and found during our stay . The item was found and returned but the staff in lost and found was very rude and should be trained how to talk to guests . Btw the swimming pool was very nice too .Our check-out was smooth as well by lady in the night shift (I don't remember her name) she was very pleasant to talk with. Overall I really liked the hotel and I gave 3 stars coz the hotel management should look into the maintenance issues in the rooms and also take initiatives to train the back office staffs in case they face the guests. I request the hotel management to take care of these simple issues for all the guests to have a overall pleasant experience. And I will come back to stay again but these issues needs to be fixed

Room was spacious with full amenities provided. However, room key did not function twice and had to incoveniently go to lobby to reset the key. Staff should inform guests that they need to take pool towels from lobby and special events such as lion dance for guests to watch. Room wasnt made even after informing the front desk. Open the restaurant soonest possible as most hotels do nowadays with proper SOP. Room service food was a bit salty. But price of food was affordable.

We stayed on level 17.
The room was very spacious and had a large bathroom with a nice bath.
The view from the window was of another building, so no view but therefore little road noise.
The noise did seem to travel from next door's room very easily though!
It's literally opposite the Observation towers and you can buy tickets at the concierge (although it's a little bit of a hike up the hill!).
It's also only a 10-15 minute walk to the Petronas Towers, so very well situated.

We have been to KL 6 or 7 times before, but this time our experience was horrible. We were a big group of 16 people adult and children consisting of 5 families in 5 rooms total. Our mistake was depending on the travel agent, we were upgraded to suites, but rooms did not do justice with the name and picture we saw on their web page. The rooms were damp, dirty and suffocatingly smelly, air coolers did not work, and it never worked at its best during our whole (3 days) visit. We complained about the 3 rooms, they fixed it later to some extent, but we just managed somehow. The corridor had no air to pass nor central air circulation, so when you get out from the lift, you will have to run for the room so that u don’t suffocate to death.
The rooms were pitch dark inside and give you a creepy feeling of motels from the 1960s horror movies, but one good thing about the rooms were that they were big. Now, about the service, from the front desk to the bell boy everybody was telling different version of their policy. So, we realized that there was something wrong and probably they were trying to con us. Weirdly, no one supported the other one’s version to come to a common policy (whether it was actually the real policy or not we have serious doubts about that) For Example, I asked for water and the room service asked me to pay cash and told me there is no room charge policy, where as they have kept a deposit of 600 rm (approximately) deposit. Later, when I a challenged about the policy, he changed his version, saying, “yes, it is possible” and did not charge me for the water.
When we asked for a bell boy, he came after 25 minutes. When asked why there was such delay, they said, because it was an off time although we let them know that we will check out in the morning 8-10 hours before hand. The service people were very unprofessional and lazy. Unfortunately after making complaints I could hear them laughing with each other in front of me when I asked to talk to their manager.
Our visit time was 30th dec to 01 jan 2020

The Pacific Regency Hotel Suites was without doubt the most depressing hotel experience I have ever endured. Only upon arrival was I informed the pool and bar were closed for refurbishment, a very unprofessional and greedy decision by the hotel not to inform me of this in advance in order to allow me the opportunity to make alternate arrangements. The extreme noise from this refurbishment work is omnipresent throughout the building and goes on long into the night. The drab, dilapidated rooms are dirty and worn, from the stained walls, carpets, and disgusting toilet to the broken safe, poorly functioning air conditioning and the petty decision to charge for the use of printers displays an embarrassing lack of effort made by the Pacific Regency Hotel Suites and their extreme lack of respect for their unfortunate guests. This hotel attempts to represent itself as quality business experience but in reality it is of low quality in the extreme. Overall; there is an air of desperation about the premises and among the staff, resulting in a very uneasy and depressing experience. I have never went to the effort of writing a bad review for a hotel in all my years of travel, but I was shocked by the extent of the poor quality and couldn’t in good conscience not report my experience. If it results in just one person switching to a competitor then it was worthwhile.

Dear Quatermass316, Thank you for taking the time to review us on TripAdvisor. We would like to take this opportunity to apologize for not meeting your expectations. The swimming pool and bar is indeed closed for renovation (and notice of it uploaded in all portals) until May and its unfortunate that you were not able to experience it. However we do offer an alternative to our guests which is the rooftop pool at our sister property, Pacific Express Hotel Central Market. Please be assured that your other comments have been noted and would be looked into. We hope you would accord us another opportunity to prove our services to you again in the future. Thank you. The hotel is in a good location with decent staff. Thats where the positives end. A group of us stayed here in December 2019 through to January 2020. The moment we stepped into our respective rooms, musty damp smell greeted us. The carpet in the room is, I presume, old and not cleaned properly. The beddings were dirty and smelled of cigarette smokes. The bathroom tiles were chipped and old. The kitchen area was surprisingly okay with a good sized functioning fridge. We tried to order room service one late night and our calls went unanswered. When a friend went down to the lobby, the receptionist promised to have restaurant give us a call back, the call never came. Generally I would not recommend to stay here.

We arrived in KL very early morning after a late night flight. As I don't sleep on planes we had booked an extra night here so that we could go straight to the room and get some rest. On arrival we were informed that we were a 'no show' so the room had been cancelled, this is despite the fact we had contacted them several times to confirm we would be arriving early morning and not on the first night and been told this was no problem. Eventually we got another room and exhausted headed to get some rest.

On first impressions the rooms are large and comfortable, just a bit dated. But after a while you start to see the flaws. There is no hot water available (we had to use the tiny kettle about 20 times to fill a bath). As I was unwell during my stay (not the hotels fault) I ended up spending a lot of time in the room and ordered room service as I couldn't face going out. The food was overpriced and very poor quality. We next decided to try the restaurant which apart from having a great view was pretty mediocre. The bar area and pool feels depressing and outdated with rust stains all over the bottom of the pool, you wouldn't want to swim in it!

On the plus points it's well located so if you are going to stay somewhere and spend the entire time out it's passable, just don't expect a hot shower!

Made a booking after I've seen their room promotion on fb. Thought it'd be nice for our new year staycation. The room was very spacious and modern. Bathroom also modern with glass panel walls for shower and toilet. Big bathtub. Delicious nasi lemak set for in room breakfast. However we found a lot of deficits as follows: no indoor slippers, no laundry bag, light above the entrance door not working, limited tv channels, guest stationery not available and surprisingly we were charged rm10 for the parking ticket. I mean we've been to other 5 star hotels before but they never charged us for parking, they were all free!

Not sure how this is a 5 stars hotel, as it is definitely poorly maintained. Please read this before you make your decide to stay at this hotel.

First, entering the car park, it gave us a goosebump. It appears to be dim and dark. Glancing at the building beside from the car park, we thought we’ve entered the wrong building. Then, we saw the signage with the name of the hotel and confirmed that it’s correct. Later we checked from google maps and learned that the building we saw belonged to a 4 star hotel, Oasis.

After checkin at the reception, we proceed to the lift which took us to our floor. The moment the lift opens at our floor, the corridor felt so gloomy and stuffy due to poor air conditioning. We just couldn’t care much and proceed to our room. When we enter the room, it smells like mould and we even spotted some on the wall beside the bed. The wardrobe was so dusty and smells. The towels we saw in the bathroom even has stain on it (all of them)! That’s when we snapped and decided that we couldn’t stay here. So, we went back down to the reception to cancel our stay.

We expressed our dissatisfaction at this poorly maintained 5 star hotel and wanted to cancel our stay to the receptionist and the manager. The manager shows no hospitality. He doesn’t seemed sorry and yet show us his long face when we tell him the problem (he never apologised at all; even a 2 star would apologised). He then offered to upgrade our room. Even with an upgraded room, we wouldn’t consider taking up the offer after what we had experienced. The manager, without much consideration, he arrogantly told us that it would cost us 100% of our stay if we choose to cancel. Insisting that this is the hotel policy. It is like threatening us and leaving us with no option (5 star hospitality). After having a long argument, only he agreed to refund 50% of the stay. (Hotel policy, my foot!)

In short, this is a poorly maintained 5 star hotel posturing a very bad hospitality. It was a horrible birthday staycation experience.

Yes I checked in a bit early without warning and was luckily in a bit earlier. I did have to wait about 30minutes in the seating area with complimentary water etc but that was fine :) Perhaps contact them Prior to coming to see if they can accomodate you earlier. It would depend on the room your allocated as to if the previous tourists have left and the room has been cleaned and Marked off for housekeeping, final bill etc :) Enjoy your trip

The hotel bcum service suites is very old and worn out. They are trying to be environmentally friendly yet they do not serviced their bathroom. Everything had to be on request it's ridiculous.Location is convenient if you take the Grab car. Taxis prices are like 3 times more.
