Moved from my first hotel in Manila, to this hotel, and didn't regret it. Very quiet part of town, but short walk to Jeepney route.

Opposite Paco Park, previously a small cemetery.

Didn't eat at the hotel, so can't comment.

Rooms ere a good size, there was also a table outside the front door for use. Only two tv channels, as something was broken according to the maintenance guy, it wasn't clear what was broken.

Pool in the shade for much of the day. so water a little on the col side. A nice bonus to have use of a pool for this price in Manila though.

Needed a taxi at 0430 on the day that I left, and was worried that I might have to wait, so asked the night before for reception to order one. When the call came at 0425, I thought it was to tell me that the tai had arrived; it was actually reception though, asking whether they should now call the taxi. A very stressful end to what had been a nice break.

An average hotel that doesn't really meet a 'boutique' standard even for this country. But rooms are clean and spacious, if a little dark. Towels are old and discoloured and toiletries basic. The breakfast however is great and included, dishes are off menu, be wary if you want more coffee or toast as you will be charged. Overall good for 3*

We booked our stay well in advance and the e-mails from Maria and Sarah were welcoming and it was nice to be recognised as a returning guest. We stayed in family rooms on levels 1 & 2, both rooms were clean and comfy. Most pleasing was the absence of any cigarette smell as we are non smokers. Level 1 room would run out of hot water in the evenings but level 2 was ok, just a matter of letting the tap run for 5minutes or so. We found it fairly quiet at night and easy to sleep. The sound does carry down the hallways and in the mornings I could hear, I assume, the staff at around 6am. They always seemed to have a very cheerful banter going on and I found it quite pleasant. Outside there is a little eatery for the taxi drivers and they would also start up with their pots etc, along with the odd rooster, it was a nice way to wake up every day.

The kids once again loved the pool, although I preferred the area better when they had the deck chairs. A couple of times there were other guests having breakfast on the side tables and I just made sure the kids kept over to the other side of the pool to avoid splashing etc. This area is smoking permitted but there is enough space to move away from any smell.

We found the food at " My Kitchen '' very tasty, I liked their crispy bacon and found the portion size filling and good value at 350p. The coffee was really good but came in a tiny cup which at 110p I found not great value.

The location of the hotel was good for us as it's fairly quiet in the evening. We walked to Robinsons though the day time along Padre Faura Street, about 10 to 15 minutes. One night we walked back from United Nations Ave LRT down Gen Luna Street to the hotel with no worries, I have really white skin and we always felt safe, the streets actually looked fairly clean. The kids loved looking out the window at the various goings on and enjoyed watching the street characters going about their day.

The front desk lady who checked us out was very nice as was Ciel. Jun remembered us from previous visits and he always had a big smile. All of the lower ranked staff were friendly but I noticed some of the higher ranked staff would look right through you, this made our stay less personable than before. We had a nice stay and I would recommend this hotel.

We stayed here in august 2014 for 4 nights, the room was nice and big but there are other problems with this hotel

the biggest problem with this hotel was on check out we was presented with a 2700 php bill, this was a shock to us as all we had was a breakfast for 2. when asked they told us we had to pay for the use of air con, hot water and lamps (Yes the lamps!) nothing of this was sated before our stay!

another problem was the location. at night there no lighting out side the hotel and all the taxis out side didnt want to use their meters.

Responded Sep 8, 2014
Dear scottegg, Greetings from the Oasis Paco Park Hotel! Thank you for taking time in writing a review about the Hotel. After reading your review, the management requested for an immediate investigation regarding your concern. With all the documents forwarded to us, we found that the total payment you did upon checking out was PhP960.00 (Nine Hundred Sixty Pesos) . That bill includes your breakfast in the restaurant which are Beef Tapa and Pork Longaniza with the bill of PhP 805.00 and Minibar consumption which are Gatorade and Chips Ahoy with the bill of PhP155.00. We are not sure where the phP2700.00 bill came from. If you wish to get a copy of the total bill, please feel free to email our Rooms Division Manager at paulene.cudala@oasispark.com and our Rooms Division manager will be happy to assist you to sort the charges out. The problem about the street lights outside was reported to the city Municipality already. We are just waiting for them to put up additional street lights. Lastly, regarding the Taxi concern, most of the Taxis any part of the world would always try to ask for more than what the meter will count. That is why we encourage our guests to ask for assistance with our Front Office Staff so we can be the one to crab a cab for you. We hope the above was of help in clarifying the issues mentioned. We still hope to welcome you to The Oasis Paco Park Hotel on your next visit to Manila. Best Regards, The Oasis Team

How can a hotel have a RAT ?? I don't recommend anyone to stay in this hotel.
Though they gave me full refund after seeing the rat i think its nasty and unhealthy to stay in this hotel.. U will hear scratching from the walls and it can eat your food too. The trauma that this hotel gave me was unforgivable. If u want a clean room and won't worry about rats sharing foods with u don't stay in this hotel. Unless u don't mind mingling with rats mosquitoes and bugs and walking so long to get to the mall and bars

We booked this hotel online for one night as we were waiting for another flight else where in the Philippines. It was described as close to the airport however with Manila traffic it took us 2 hours from our terminal to the hotel. We were told by three people that our hotel was in a dodgy area ( red light district) and to watch our belongings before we even got there! On arrival the receptionist wasn't overly welcoming and told us we needed to pay a 2,000 peso cash deposit on the room. Not the welcome you want after 20 hours travelling! The room was ok but the light on the air con kept us awake. The restaurant down stairs was a surprising treat for hungry travellers we especially enjoyed the prawns! Not worth all the hassle though. We asked the receptionist if she could call us a taxi that used a meter but they just grabbed one from outside the hotel who wouldn't use his meter. All in all not a positive experience.

upon arrival, the receptionist didn't even welcome us with a smile ..kem, the receptionist, just asked us with our hotel voucher.. but my partner called the hotel to confirm our booking ..the receptionist said that our booking was confirmed.. when we arrived , she asked for my name and the hotel voucher.. saying that my name isn't there.. knowing that she didn't even check the computer.. since we are just wearing casual clothes--short pants--sando.. it's as if she couldn't believe that we can afford to book a hotel.. when a foreigner came to check in, she didn't even ask for the hotel voucher and just asked for the foreigner's name.. what kind of receptionist is this? lame, unfriendly, and discriminates people.. not even a single smile on her face..

KEM, the receptionist of oasis park hotel, try to be more cheerful.. and friendly .. i should know better .. if you dont love your job just quit.. it is affecting your company..

to the oasis park hotel team, next time you hire a receptionist .. make sure that they are cheerful and doesn't discriminate people..

a very unhappy customer here.. because of your receptionist

Dear Vadusa, Greetings from the Oasis Paco Park Hotel! First, we would like to thank you for your time in doing a review about Kem. We are very much sorry if you did not feel the warmth and friendly welcome from our staff. After reading your review, the management requested for an immediate investigation regarding your concern. With the initial investigation, we have learned that your booking was made through an online travel agency. We do apologise if you did not like it when Kem requested for a copy of your reservations voucher. But please be informed that Kem was just following the policy of the hotel. And also, it is written to your email reservation that you should print your voucher and present it to the reception. Kem did not want to discriminate you by asking for your voucher, she just wanted to double check your booking details. The easiest way for us to find a guest reservation details in our system is by referring to your voucher. The Foreigner that was checking-in at the same time as yours was a booking over the phone. That is why there was no voucher needed. Secondly, Please be informed that your original booking was a Standard Room, but Kem upgraded you FREE OF CHARGE in a Deluxe Room. Regardless of the miscommunication, we have reminded Kem about her approach to the guest. We hope the above has somehow helped in giving light to the issues presented. We still hope to welcome you to The Oasis Paco Park Hotel on your next visit to Manila. Best Regards, The Oasis Team

Staff were polite and courteous, but these few things bugged me:
1. No hot water. The best the shower could do was an anemic tepid stream. Despite being told someone would look at it, no action.
2. On my last night I noticed a blood stain on the bed sheet, looked to be the remnants of a squashed insect. Clearly the sheets had not been changed from the previous guest. Disgusting.
3. Try to get a room on the upper floor. I was in 109, right next to the service entrance and the pool, meaning I could hear every shout /scream and conversation, as well as service door being slammed. Didn't make for a decent night's sleep.
4. Beware of touts right outside the hotel door.

Dear Ms. Daphne, Greetings from the Oasis Paco Park Hotel! First of all, we would like to thank you for your time in doing a review of our hotel. All your comments are important to us and we will certainly use them to further improve our services. Further, please allow us to reply to the above comments. You called the front desk about the hot water pressure on the second night and it was fixed. You also asked the Housekeeping to pick up your trash on the last night. Bed stain is the permanent stain on the bed (can’t be removed)and not on the sheet. We would like to inform you that the sheet is new and the stain that you were referring to was from the bed. We’ll do deep cleaning on the said bed so it would be more presentable. Regarding touts right outside the hotel room, you might be referring to the taxi drivers offering their services. Our staff are definitely not allowed to do such. We wish you could have informed the Front Desk that you are not happy with the room so we could have transferred you to another room. Please allow me to emphasize that our mission is to give full service and serve humbly all the time and we would certainly have done our part to do service recovery if we were given the chance to do so. We hope the above was of help in clarifying the issues mentioned. We hope to welcome you back to the The Oasis Paco Park Hotel in the future so we could hopefully show you the improvements we’re working on. Best Regards, The Oasis Team

The room was nice and cheap and the pool area was really nice. The food was rediculously expensive though and they care a lot if you bring in outside food (can't even eat a mango in the common area). It's also kind of located in the ghetto. They also seemed like they didn't want us here. It was still a nice stay.

Not sure, ask discreetly. You can bring food and drinks from outside to your room. I usually buy beers and soft drinks, water from supermarket, empty my room fridge and put my goods in fridge. If you were bringing pizza, Jollibee from outside to your room there should be no problem....

Normally at 2pm. But you can check in earlier if room is available already. Ask the hotel directly 😊
