The room we were given was spacious. Although it is an old hotel, it is well kept. The towels were fluffy and white. Water pressure was great and the bidet was an added feature that we appreciated. That said, there are shortcomings like the airconditioning system being dated and noisy. Overall, this is a budget hotel and for the price we paid, we felt that accommodations was well worth it.

The best things about the Manila Prince Hotel are affordability and accessibility. For less than 3thousand pesos, you can have a room for two pax with breakfast. I requested in my booking that I wanted a large bed. They assigned me in a room with a large bed. The linens are not the whitest I have seen and not the fluffiest. But comfortable enough for a good sleep. In terms of accessibility, the hotel is located at the heart of Manila, near hospital, banks, coffeeshops, and fastfood establishments are in the ground floor. So if you get hungry, you can just go down and buy food. The option for breakfast is not that many - egg, bacon, soup, pastry, chicken, and baked beans - but enough to fill your stomach. Downside? We had an event at the basement (lower level) and the area is not the cleanest. I saw cockroaches! The function halls are also not sound-proof. So good luck, if there are events going on at the other rooms. The hotel can put carpets to absorb the noise. Waitstaff were not responsive also.

We booked the Manila Prince hotel for food experience and because we didn't want to walk the streets at night in the dark. When we went to the restaurant for evening dinner (buffet), the food looked nice but it was all cold, I asked for the waiter to heat it in microwave, it was still cold and even the plate. The restaurant manager came and he increased the heat on the food warmer, but they leave the lids open so the food doesn't stay hot. I filled in a feed back form and pointed this out hoping they would do something about it. We had problems in room and were assured they would be dealt with pronto, after waiting for a day and 3 phone calls and confronting front desk, the room problems were dealt with. Next morning we went for ( buffet) breakfast and the food was still cold, and no notice of feed back suggestions had been put in place. We couldn't take the chance of becoming ill so we curtailed our stay and moved on. My wife has asked for a refund for the days we aren't staying, which management said it has to come from booking.com. She filled in a request and complaint form on managers iPad and he said he would forward it to booking.com. After waiting to hear from booking.com, they say they never received anything from Manila Prince Hotel and management are denying everything.

I've stayed at the hotel like most people, but overall I think this hotel is very good among the hotels in Manila, which is by no means good value for money. I think it's pretty cheap among the four-star hotels in Metro Manila. I wanted to stay for a change every two months. The room is 30 sq m, the cheapest room with bathtub and washlet. I didn't know how to use a cold TV, but the air conditioning worked well and there was naturally a refrigerator. There is also hot water, but in the Philippines there is supposed to be hot water, but only water, and the water pressure is moderately high. Filipino buffet for breakfast. There are egg corners and pancakes. If you're not good at Filipino food, you'll eat less, but you can't eat anything. Many shops close early, but next door is Square with restaurants. Transportation is a 5-minute walk from LRT UN AVE. Public transportation, including taxis, buses and jeeps, is also easy to use, although I cannot recommend it to tourists, including LRT. I can recommend grabs and grab taxis, but if you're in Manila, Pasay or Makati, it won't cost you 300 pesos if it's not rush hour. Free shuttles are available around Manila Hotel, Robinson and Mall of Asia. Personally, I don't have many negatives. I don't know if Filipinos don't write much because they seem to have a very high occupancy rate but they don't have a lot of reviews.

Centrally located which adds to the property's convenience. Unfortunately, the hotel doesn't have a bar and alcoholic drinks are limited from the coffee house. I attended a function there and the food provided was very tasty. Menu choices not very international and very Filipino. Rooms were clean but aged. Extremely strict check out times without much flexibility. Reception extremely rude when it comes to seeking minor extensions. I had to leave my function just to check out because the hotel staff ordered us to do so. Rather unfriendy. Rooms and hotel do not provide umbrellas but concierge allowed me to borrow a personal umbrella which I'm thankful for.

Everything that can go wrong did go wrong. 1st. made reservations on their email for party of 2 for the next day lunch. No one from the hotel or F&B ever replied to my email, what’s the reason why you even put on your web site an email for reservation if no one even bothers to reply. Is business that good that you completely ignore reservations?? 2nd. I went there from where I’m staying in makati not knowing about my “reservations” Being it’s a Wednesday and lunch I was sure they could accommodate my party. When I got to the restaurant desk I inquired about my reservation and to no surprise it wasn’t there and a look of total confusion from the hostess. But here is the best part, sorry no buffet for today???? Really ? Yes, why ? Cause they ran out of food?????? A hotel, run out of food??? You should fire the chef and food and beverage manager. Totally unacceptable for a hotel to run out of food. The sad part is if they answered my email and told me about their problem then I would have saved my time and ride fare going there. As a sister hotel to The Manila Hotel this is a total embarrassment and a total incompetent food and beverage department. I’m sorry but you are deserving of 0 stars and a very negative review of how your food and beverage operation works or lack of it. I request the manager on duty to speak to me and she did but she can’t do anything. Only redeeming thing is that she was very professional, well what else can she be, knowing everything was screwed up from the start. This will be sent to The Manila Hotel also so they know how lazy that your F&B department can’t even have the courtesy to answer a reservation email. Cyrus Goo

A big and chic hotel in a good locaction, close to Rizal Park and Intramuros. The room is spacious with a big, comfortable bed and quite a big bathroom. Clean and nice. Buffet breakfast is served in a hotel restaurant and there is a wide choice of food and drinks, fried fish including. The lobby is stylish but freezing cold because of the air condition. What is great here is a nice swimming pool where you can cool down after sighteeing Manila. The staff is polite and the Internet very good.

Well ... Of course, you should always compare quality with price, BUT:
- They placed us in a room without window access (see photo). That is not even an option to choose (which we wound never have!) - it is absolutely unacceptable.
- They will check your bags, every time you enter the reception. If you have shop bags with alcohol, you are treated like a high school student caught in bringing illegal liquor to a party. (We are not talking about several bottles of hard liquor, but some cans of beer for two adults). Humiliating and inappropriate.
Even worse: It's not for a real check, but more for "the procedure", because when we entered with a bottle of champagne in a backpack (that got scanned), we weren't questioned and did not have to give the room number.
These are the two main reasons for the rating. But the rest isn't impressive either:
- The hotel is not at all geared for serving breakfast, when the hotel is full. Coffee is consequently awful.
- Pool is small, and you have to cross an ever crowded reception. Also, music is loud. Don't choose the hotel due to this; it looks better at the pictures.
- Rooms are o.k. Beds are VERY soft.
- We had asked for a double bed, but got two single beds. We know that it is upon availability, but when we addressed this in the reception, the receptionist suddenly didn't understand us.
All in all: You can find a lot of other alternatives within the same price range and to at least the same or better quality.
We won't recommend it.

Dear guest, Regarding the room without window access, we understand your disappointment, and we will review the availability of room options to ensure better clarity for future guests. As for the bag check procedure, it’s in place for security purposes, and we aim to balance safety with guest comfort. We'll look into your experience to improve consistency in our practices. Regarding breakfast service, we are constantly working to improve the quality of our offerings, and we’ll take your comments into account. We also note your feedback on the pool, and we understand your concerns regarding its size and the atmosphere. Lastly, our bed options include king or twin configurations, with twin beds classified as double-sized. This may have contributed to the confusion, and we’ll ensure our team communicates this more effectively. Your review helps us identify areas for improvement, and we hope to better meet expectations in the future.

Honestly the hotel wasn’t as i expected, first day there was construction on the room above us , we have videos shows how strong and consistent the construction nose for more than an hour throughout half of the day .
I think hotel management should reconsider doing maintenance while there’s guests around the work area because it’s unacceptable.
However i really wanna highlight the staff behavior , professionalism and kindness all of them no expectations.
The waitres/sses , the receptionist, cleaning agents …. Especially Miss Isabella the receptionist supervisor she was very considering to check us in 2 hours early since we came tired from flight from BORACAY as gesture of courtesy we also checked out one hour early .
I’ve been around the world hundreds of hotels and i never compromise my comfort when choosing hotels and as a conclusion I’m happy only because of the amazing team working over there well done guys .
