I had stayed at this hotel approximatly 9 years ago and all was ok, but this time every thing changed. My wife and I checked into Swagmans in the very early hours of 24 th March 2017. Our reason for staying there was the free shuttle from the airport, my wife phoned Swagmans to confirm the time of arrival of...

Swagman Manila is located in the Ermita area. Its basically hotel for back packers. Mostly Australian guests frequent this hotel. They offer australian and filipino dishes. The building is quite old but the service is good as if you are at home away from home. The rooms are also good and offers much higher than the regular hotels in the...

20 years ago I stayed at this hotel with my then pregnant wife and it was great. At that time it was owned and run by Australians. This trip in Jan 2017 we stayed again and found it has really gone downhill. It has new owners and is not the hotel it was before. They advertise that they will pick...

Stayed 2 days between 9-11 February 2017. Easy check-in, clean room, Wi-Fi only available in lobby. Decent food choices for Westerners. Spa was nice, clean and professional. Located within 1/2 mile of US Embassy. Metro Manila Police play basketball at local court across the street. Very safe area.

Visitors had lots of complaints all of which were listened to by the management and hotel staff then promtly ignored. Most dangerous of the complaints was that the wet room floor became extreamly slippery when wet. A simple and cheap fix would be rubber mats. Also in the rooms was a brochure stating what was available in the Oriental Hotel...

It's been a while since I was here and yeah the rooms are pretty basic. The restaurant and bar are very good though. Very good and nourishing Aussie fare and draft San Miguel. There are a lot of touts outside, but just ignore them.

Our family stayed here for one night. Reasonably priced for two double beds and 1 bunk bed, good for 6. The room was spacious enough with a flat screen TV, a desk and a fridge. Air con was good. There was hot water in the shower. It looked a bit old though. The elevator was small and wasn't working all...

I recently stayed at the swagman Having been there 3 months earlier I had expected . Unfortunately I had quite the opposite. We stayed in the 7th floor and as a result we had problems with our shower ... We had no hot water and a very low flow due to how high we were staying . There were cockroaches...
