I had a very late night flight to Manila but Terminal 1 had more immigration officers on duty than I'd seen in the last few years, so it was not long before I was in a taxi for what turned out to be a P600 trip to Cocoon Boutique Hotel taking about 33 minutes. The metered fare was P345 but the taxi driver pleaded for more including 'P100 gas (petrol) money). Still cheap compared to what one would pay in Australia, Europe or the UK.

It was after midnight when I arrived. Christian was on duty: I was quickly checked in and best of all, he did not take long to find an adaptar for my phone.

Cocoon's rooms feature reclaimed hardwood floors that are environmentally responsible. Kudos to it.

Granted I was tired, though after any flight one can feel a bit 'hyped', but due to the excellent comfort of the bed, linen and pillows, I was quickly asleep. I did not wake until about 0800 or slightly later in the morning, and felt extremely well rested.

The shower worked well: hot water was fine, and Cocoon provides a substantial variety of guest amenities. There is also a minibar (not stocked) in the room, a feature that many hotels in the United Kingdom and every country in sprawling Europe lack.

WiFi worked well. Some years ago at Cocoon Hotel this was a problem but either the management have invested or the number of cellphone towers has increased, hence the dramatic improvement.

There was an excellent amount of desk and wardrobe space in my room along with good lighting that can be adjusted three ways, although having arrived so late my priority was a dark room. The curtains were fit for purpose.

A building opposite that if I recall used to be a karaoke bar has been demolished (as have buildings at another much larger site 50 metres closer to Timog Avenue). This is more evidence as to how Quezon City continues to develop and modernise.

Having had food on the flight mid evening the night before, I didn't have much to eat at its rooftop buffet, but very pleasant staff found me some Greek yoghurt that coupled with fresh papaya was sufficient.

On the corner of Timog 100 metres from the hotel, there is a BDO bank branch with an ATM where I obtained some cash as like most of southeast Asia, one still needs to carry cash rather than seek to rely on credit cards or other automated payment methods.

There is also a McDonalds oppsoite the BDO while Burger King is a small distance away on Mother Ignacia Avenue.

More importantly, there's an outstanding selection of restaurants and cafes 500 metres or so away along Tomas Morato Avenue, within walking distance along a pleasant partly tree-lined street that doesn't have much traffic. Many cuisines are represented. The street isn't typically crowded with diners at midday but at night, especially towards the end of the week, it's popular. Alba (Spanish) is one high class establishment I can recommend: great food and service.

Other Cocoon staff such as Troy and Tricia were very pleasant, as was everyone else including doormen with whom I briefly interacted. I don't recall all their names.

As dentistry was on the agenda, I didn't have much time on my hands. Staff arranged an Uber at short notice. Later, I departed for the airport mid afternoon when traffic was heavier. My driver took back streets and then a lengthy Skyway (elevated toll road) so amazingly I was at Terminal 1 in 45 minutes. Be warned though if a taxi or Uber driver insists on using congested EDSA (a major road with up to five or six lanes each way), it could take two hours at peak periods so route selection is extremely important. That Waze app (if I can remember its name correctly) is an important tool.

Daytime renovations were underway on the third floor but these do not occur at times when most guests would be sleeping. I heard little noise. Bathrooms are being retiled and hardwood planks attended to, given normal wear and tear over more than a decade.

The efficient room airconditioning was not noisy. Travellers hope for this in tropical countries so it was great that Cocoon delivered.

Cocoon remains a high quality hotel with super comfortable bedding and caring staff its two best assets. The buffet brekkie is small compared to what you'd receive in a five star hotel but the price difference in room tariffs represents a substantial saving, and I couldn't suggest sleep quality would be necessarily any better at a much higher price point.

Cocoon also has conference and wedding facilities. There was a business meeting underway while I was there: not surprising given its longstanding reputation for delivering a quality experience for such attendees.

Did I mention the small pool (that children would love) was sparkling and inviting?

Couldn't think of any hotel to stay other than Cocoon Boutique Hotel because of our previous experience indeed one of unforgettable experienced our Family had. Staff are all
Welcoming from parking, checking in, during our stay and up to checking-out all staffs are making sure that our stay is as perfect as possible. Did I also mention that they even upgraded us from a deluxe room to 1 bedroom suite and I must admit that we are really amazed on their generosity. They even allowed us to check-in early and check-out late. Our family really had a wonderful stay. Special mention to Justin Alec De Guzman who assisted us both from our previous and recent stay, we also tried their spa and availed their massage truly it was a great value for money and the location of Cocoon Hotel is a plus because it is near in everything. My Family will definitely comeback again...

Our intimate wedding was held last Feb 29, 2020 at The Cocoon Boutique Hotel. But before we decided to book Cocoon, we emailed several hotels and restaurants in QC. What sets Cocoon apart from the other hotels was Cocoon was the most responsive to our emails. For us it was a good sign that they really want to be a part of our wedding. Thanks to Nicka Diwatin for being so warm and patient with us. During our first meeting, apart from showing us the venue, she even showed us the rooms which we fell in love with because of the 'homey' feels.

Another thing to commend with Cocoon is that their rates were already all-in (both in their food package and room rates). So you no longer need to account for other charges.

We availed of their international buffet package 3. We thought it was super worth it because for its price, the package already included appetizers, cold cuts and cheese, carving station (beef), veggies, salmon, pork, chicken, pasta and several desserts. Because of their wide range of food choices, we were able to request if they could serve a portfolio of it for snacks with the majority of the menu served during lunch. By the way, all of our guests loved the food! Their supplier's meals were also worth it (comment from our coordinator).

Our wedding was quite a unique one and they catered to our requests which we were really grateful for. Nicka also referred us to Sound Republic for the lights and sounds and to Sir Alex for the styling. Both suppliers also delivered more than what we asked for :)

Since our wedding preps, ceremony and reception were all held at Cocoon, we were also offered with 50% discount on our room rates including our guests who checked in. Super sulit!

Finally, we would like to commend ALL their staff for exhibiting the true Filipino hospitality.

Overall, Cocoon exceeded our expectations and they us and our guests a memorable wedding.

Stayed here for the second time, and it was way better than the first.

Upon checking-in, front desk concierge already knew my name before I even handed over my ID card. Check-in was very quick and got upgraded to junior suite at the 3rd floor. The welcome drink was very refreshing, i had to ask for another glass.

The room was very nice and spacious. Bed was still firm and pillows were still soft. Very comfortable.

Personalized approach
Vip. Knew who i was and my name even before I handed my ID for check-in

Junior suite room was nice and spacious. Bed was firm and pillows were soft. Very comfortable. Cleanliness was okay. Stayed at the 3rd floor. There wasnt really a view but least sun can come in during the day.

Water in a jar was complimentary and you can always ask for more with ice to go with it.

Breakfast was the usual but this time, they made it extra special by giving me fudge brownies for breakfast because it was my birthday.

Extension was easy.

Pool was small i didnt swim

Housekeeping was nice but the bathroom really needs heavy duty scrubbing.

Massage was still okay.

I appreciate the Manager for reaching out to me to make this experience more pleasant and confortable.

We stayed here for one night. Check in was quick and the staff was delightful. Room was not that big and lights were pretty dim. Although the room feels homey, its not recommended for doing work. Bed and pillows were fine but the downside was, we were monitoring the CNN news and the cable was not working an hour after we checked in till we checked-out. Even the internet during this time was pretty slow.

For the bathroom, there was a separate bathtub and shower but the shower was small and if you are a big person, your elbows may hit the wall every now and then. Also, the door that closes the shower area only closed half of it thus after showering, the floor outside the shower area was very wet.

Nonetheless, the water had good pressure and with thermoregulation possibilities.

We also tried their signature massages at the 2nd floor which was okay for the discounted price. Their last call was at 12midnight.

We also had the breakfast at 500 per person but i would suggest not to get it due to very limited choices. Although the eggs benedict was decent, i dont think its worth the price.

I first found this wonderfully quaint hotel when I was looking for a place to celebrate my sister's birthday, and I just love it more with every stay. The rooms are clean and spacious where even little kids can roam worry-free, and the bed is as comfortable as they come.

We loved it so much we booked for the same sister's wedding. They have a great wedding reception package which covers everything you need, and you wouldn't have to worry about anything else.

Most importantly, the staff are awesome. They're warm and friendly, and very responsive to their guests' needs and made sure to accommodate requests as best they can. The banquet sales specialist most of all. With the original schedule of the wedding during the height of lockdown due to the pandemic, she made the rescheduling a breeze. And when the circumstances finally allowed for the event to push through, even during a pandemic, they made sure that we can celebrate my sister's wedding safely, but still in the best way possible. It just feels like a bonus that their food tastes great too.

We highly recommend this hotel for a staycation and definitely for a celebration of any occasion.

"Christmas is the day that holds all time together" From Nueva Ecija, we spent our christmas at Cocoon Hotel which is near the area of my sister who's working in this city. They gave us a cookie upon checking-in as a welcome christmas gift and all the front desk are very pleasant. Suite room is very big for us and I highly recommend it for a family. Abuela's restaurant serves an appetizing food and we don't even try to buy food outside. Thanks to Generic and Enzo who are still on duty even it's christmas eve and served us the food with a big smile. My favorite part is the breakfast at the deck, feeling the fresh air and having a fresh food. From fresh salad, breads, pancakes, eggs and soup, up to the mouthwatering ala carte foods, I would say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day! Hahaha. Cocoon hotel is near the churches, malls and restaurants (along tomas morato) that's why it's very easy for us to choose where to go and we indeed enjoyed our day. Thank you Cocoon Hotel and we'll surely come back!!!

I have always travelled back and forth from the south to QC for work and it usually takes me 2-3hours of travel. When I first found out about Cocoon Boutique Hotel, I immediately gave it a go since I want to be well-rested before working. They surprisingly exceeded my expectations. The staff is so warm and accommodating. Their deliverables are great as well considering the price range of the rooms they have.

If youre booking though, please consider the skeletal work hours or shifting schedules of the staff since these are unprecedented times. You may send an email or give them a call to book.

I highly recommend! Will definitely book again soon.

I booked this hotel as its near to my wedding venue. At first from check in no assistance from the guard knowing I had alot of stuff to bring. Then I have to pay 750php per head for my make up artist team (3 total of 2250php). Also if they need to eat, they cannot bring their food inside. If they want to eat inside we have to rent the deck and the cost is 1,000 php. My wedding is tomorrow and I feel so stress right now. Even going to the room no assistance to help us carry our stuff. ☹️☹️☹️

A true hidden gem in QC, I stayed at the Cocoon boutique hotel in June for a work assignment and it did not disappoint.
Classy lobby, relaxing rooftop area with a pool and classic style spacious rooms equipped with all the comfort you need after a long day at the office.
Just a stroll away from Tomas Morato ave where you can find loads of food options and party hangouts location over the weekend.
The highlight of the place is the staff though.
The front desk team couldn't be more helpful and friendly and they made feel at home since day one ( Shout-out to Kyle, Clue, Vanessa and Erika you rockstars!). They went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and graciously replied to all requests I had during my monthly stay, it felt like I was at a friend's place and not a hotel.
Erraz and the F&B team also took great care of me and helped me pick breakfast options throughout my stay and were always up for a chat, genuinely interested in making a connection.
5* might not be enough!
