We arrived and it's a typical old type motel. Room is larger than most. Outer Room was very clean. Bathroom needs updating pretty bad. Some mold on the caulking around the tub in the corners. One of the rooms had a couch the other a table and chairs also. Mini fridge and microwave in the room. AC worked well. Beds seem new and were firm. Did the bug check under the sheets and were very clean. Bottle opener mounted on bathroom doorjamb.

This is definitely an old motel. A previous traveler posted pictures .... see them. On the plus side: the AC and TV worked fine, comfortable mattresses, fairly clean, quiet, grass maintained, picnic table. On the negative side: EVERYTYHING in the bathroom is OLD, the lighting is terrible (yellowed), the only mirror is in the badly lit bathroom, the linoleum floor is scared, the wallpaper above the heater is stained brown, the TP is cheap 1 ply, we were given 2 tiny bars of soap and by the end of the 2nd day we were down to 1 - it was never reissued. The soda machines didn't work and there were no pamphlets for the town of Allentown or Bethlehem in the lobby.

I have stayed here on a couple of occasions when I've had business in the Lehigh Valley but was feeling cheap. It is an older property, but is reasonably well-maintained (mostly) and kept (mostly) clean.

You might find mildew in the grout, but everything else will be clean, including the microwave and fridge. Some older stains might appear in ghost-like fashion. Unlike the other nearby cheap independent motel, this place is pretty quiet and free of riff-raff. Non-smoking rooms don't smell like smoke. The rooms are spacious by current standards. They don't have a lot of outlets though, if one is looking to plug in a lot of gadgets.

The couple that runs this place is fairly nice, but do let them know (either by phone or via whatever booking tool you use) if you plan on coming late - your late check-in will go much faster!

Though this is not the most amazing local inn I've ever stayed at - I have stayed here before and will stay here again. It's decent for the money.

Got a king size smoking room. Had issues with the manager allowing our certified service dog to stay. Asked for extra towels... pictures show what we never got, but what was in the room. Room was dirty. Terrible. But you get what you pay for 🤷‍♀️

I frequently stay here because I always know what to expect. The friendly owner is always on site and he keeps the property very nice. This is a perfect hotel for the business traveler, contractor, trucker, etc. who is looking for a nice clean room for a good price. The rooms are super clean, well maintained, both the room and bathroom are larger than most. I also enjoy the convenience and security of parking right outside my room.

I love the Allenwood Motel. This is a great old Mom and Pop motel that got cut off from the highway, highway 22, years ago when 22 was widened and upgraded. The Allenwood Motel is still on the highway BUT you can only get to the Allenwood Motel by entering from near the TRIVET DINER at 4549 West Tilghman Street. The Allenwood Motel is now at the end of a dead end street. The Allenwood Motel is DOG FRIENDLY and has a very large yard for the dogs to run in. The Allenwood is the motel of choice for sportsmen visiting Allentown and attending the gun show at the fair grounds. If you are going to be shooting at LeHigh Valley Sporting Clays this is the place to stay. You can and usually do park your vehicle right in front of your room. Your vehicle will be 6 feet from the door to your room.

The guy at the front desk was very nice. The beds were clean and decently comfortable and I believe they were Queen size. Parking was great because our trunk was 3 steps from our room door. The only issue was some mold in the grout of the shower. As far as motels go, this was one of the cleaner ones we've stayed at. We were pleased that the room DIDN'T smell like smoke like some other motels do. It was a good motel for a quick stopover in Allentown

The owner over the phone told my friend and I $90 before tax, after checking in he says $100. So we pay and go to our room. The door didn’t close fully and could easily be pushed open. Went to the front desk and wasn’t tended to. Thank goodness nothing happened to my friend and I whilst sleeping. Online it said free WiFi, it wasn’t free. There was one free outlet near the ac/heating unit far away from the bed so I had to charge my phone on the floor. My friends phone and mine kept glitching whilst staying here and alarms kept going off on my phone that I didn’t set. Tv was small and very far away from the bed could barely hear it. There was a ripped up green old pull out sofa in our room which I thought was odd since there wasn’t room to pull it out if need be. Room 45 door needs replaced. Don’t stay here owner is a scammer

My father was visiting from out of town and we were looking for a room for a week. This small motel was great! The owners are on site and are absolutely pleasant. They do not allow partying (such a plus!), they have nice grassy area all around the property with benches, picnic tables and small grills if you want to use them. Yes, the rooms need to be updated but it’s clean, quiet and close to things with really easy in and out driveway.

Lovely family owned motel in a quiet location, yet close to everything. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. Basic amenities and a great value can be found at this historic mid-century motel. The grounds are quite nice, with picnic tables, bird houses and gardens.
