It was ok could have been better. We we first checked in the front desk was very rude. Then we were put in a room where the bathtub didn’t not drain and the shower was broke. They moved us to a different room. The evening lady was very friendly and helpful. The hot tub and pool were dirty. The other issue we have was there wasn’t a breakfast. They wanted to give you a Togo bag with a sausage biscuit, Granola bar and a fruit. In all it was cheap but you get what you pay for.
I chose Microtel because of the location and the hot breakfast. There was no hot breakfast, despite pancakes and waffles being clearly stated on their website. The rooms are small and not super clean. One of the rooms had yellow stains on the sheets. For the price paid for the rooms I do not feel I got what I paid for. I feel the website is deceptive in what it offers and I would not recommend this hotel.
Property appearance sucks, so called remodels are installed incorrectly, carpet throughout hotel is a tripping hazard, hotel was super hot throughout besides room, hole under carpet in room I was in and poor construction throughout hotel
Front desk staff was friendly no issues at check in/out A/C was weak and the room was hot. Bed was uncomfortable. Too stiff. Location was fine for the charter company we used to go fishing. room wasn’t messy.
Room was infested with rats smelled very bad a mildew smell breakfast was nasty towels were ugly dirty. Sheets looked dirty like if they don’t get washed after every stay. Warm in the lobby Had mildew lime when you takeoff the cover you could see it I have to pictures pictures of the rats
The staff were all very nice. The smell of weed was all over the first floor. The towels are hard and crunchy. The beds are really high off the ground…..but comfy. The AC is nice n cold. Not the best, but absolutely NOT the worst!
Staff was very helpful and the rooms (we had 2) was clean. The beds are comfortable not to firm or soft. The hotel was quite and very conveniently located to many of the popular areas. Definitely happy and felt safe and welcomed here.
I am so very disappointed in my stay. First off, the staff wasn't friendly at all except for the elder lady but she was on her phone and had no idea I was standing at the counter. I had to say "excuse me" 3 times before she could hear me but at least she was friendly. The room smelled like mildew and when I asked for them to remedy the situation, they stuck fabric softeners in the air vent. I am sick as a dog after staying in that room. When I spoke to the lady upon checkout she said she would talk to the manager and have him/her call. I received no call and got charged full price. The breakfast had no options eitherl. it was self serve yogurt from the fridge or grab bags that had blueberry muffins (only option), a green granola bar (only option) and fruit in a cup. All of which would've been easy to grab on my own from the counter without cross contamination. They're individually packaged and don't need to be behind the counter. Made zero sense. This hotel should NOT be charging as much as they are. They also should invest in dehumidifiers for the rooms that don't have ventilation like mine or else the mildew problem will turn to mold if it hasn't already and been covered up with paint. I also had NO coffee in my room after using it the first day, they never restocked it. …
Always stay here when i come down for fishing. Rooms are always clean. I do miss the breakfast they used to have but stopped when covid started with a sack breakfast which is not bad. They always have coffee and juice in the lodge 24/7 which is nice
The rooms were musty smelling, obviously in need of dehumidifiers. This definitely is made for a perfect breeding ground for mold. Also their were no pillow slips on pillows. I just felt the rooms dampness, the curtains were closed which probably didn't help not getting sun into the room.
