Detailed Reviews
Wow wow wow. What a great hotel! I loved my family vacation here! The room was fantastic, the staff were kind, helpful and very attentive! We were in close proximity to a gas station, grocery store and lots of shopping. This hotel is located directly off the highway but we couldn't hear a single peep except for the beautiful songbirds in the morning. The laundry facilities were clean and easy to manage with the laundry app (CSCpay Mobile) and the hotel had single use Tide for sale for $5. The breakfast in the morning was probably the best hotel breakfast I've ever seen, with proper healthy options like fresh Chia pudding and overnight oats along with hot oatmeal and yogurt. Other options included bacon and eggs, and fresh croissants. There is a great water dispenser in the fitness room which tasted fresh. We used the fitness room to walk on the treadmill but there isn't much room to do anything else. Dumbbells went up to 35lb and there was a bench but unless you're only doing cardio, you won't get much of a pump. Totally fine as there are many gyms closeby. I normally stay downtown when I visit Austin (annually minimum) but after staying here I won't ever stay anywhere else! HIGHLY RECOMMEND this hotel to anyone, especially families who are looking for suites with separate bedrooms.

Hotel's Favourite
One of the things I miss the most in “good” hotels today are no complimentary post cards in the drawer, and a writing instrument. People don’t write any more, but I do like the surprise effect of sending someone greetings in the mail while traveling. This place didn’t even put a scrap of paper or anything to write with in the room. The cell phone has elminated long distance as a cash cow for lodging but it can’t replace the note pad.
I’ve been here 24 hours now and the quality of this place is good. I found it strange they didn’t have electric sliding doors on the entrance. This place has an ordinary entry door fit for a business, but when one is dragging luggage in and out all day every day self-operating doors present a lot of merit.
This place is young, and it’s been well cared for. One gets 1 ¾ kitchen in having a full refrigerator, microwave, and a two-element cook top with meager serving dishes and a dishwasher. There’s a little sitting area with a two-seat couch, and one chair fit for watching television surrounding a double-coffee-table affair. There are two big screen televisions I the room.
The bedroom is separate with French privacy doors. The towels, sheets, beds and bath are in pristine condition. Upon enering the lobby everything looked great, not worn, and everything I’ve found to be working correctly.
There was a young black lady on the desk when I checked in; very courteous, kind, and accommodating. They have a well stocked pantry with drinks, snacks, and other sundries. Their breakfast menu was a little lacking in that they didn’t have any breakfast meats of any kind, but they did offer some pre-made omelet things that were good enough with fresh biscuits and gravy. They had hot and cold cereal, all the fruit one could want, and plenty of toppings. I went to the café anyway because breakfast without meat just doesn’t work for me.
In their parking lot is a seafood restaurant I found to be good. Parking is no charge, and there’s plenty.
I’d recommend this place, and I’d use them again. I didn’t find much lacking in what I expect from Hilton brands, and they are doing a good job.

We decided to stay here instead of downtown since we had a car and didn’t want to pay an obscene amount for parking. We also wanted all the amenities of an apt and this fit the bill. The room had most of what we needed, except a burner on the stove top didn’t work and we were missing some utensils. I loved that we could help ourselves to disposable utensils and plates and condiments. Staff was friendly. The breakfast was early 6-9am so we never took advantage of it. Our bodies did not adjust to TX time so we always slept in. Location is great. About 15-20 mins from downtown. Close to shopping and lots of food choices. Couldn’t be happier with our overall stay. Would definitely stay again if coming to Austin again. Great area if you have a car. Love having all the comforts of home in a hotel.

For a location away from the central downtown, this place is good as it's near the main freeway to get to Zilker and the River. The hotel has nice decor and seems well maintained, lobby and eating areas are large. The rooms are large and well furnished. The rooms seem soundproofed as I could not hear anyone in the adjacent rooms. Parking and breakfast buffet are free. So its' a good value. Will stay here again.

Seven families from all over the country met here for a family wedding. The staff put our rooms together and helped us have a wonderful time. The allowed us to use the breakfast room and conference room for a family barbecue and gathering. The breakfast was great and the hotel was very clean and people consistently wore masks in public spaces so we felt very safe. Highly recommend!

John or the African American man in the fitted shirt at 2am. I greeted him he didn’t say hello. I said good morning again and he asked what can I do for you, I asked him to verify my rewards status to get waters, he asked for ID perfect, he is doing what he is supposed to. Then asked if I had received my waters already at check in I informed him I had just arrived, so no I had not. I asked what time breakfast was he walked towards the sign and told me 7-10 and pointed to insinuate I should have looked over at the sign, I could be wrong. It’s 2 in the morning, just drove in and im tired if I was going to get this kind of treatment I could have grabbed my own waters and proceeded to read what was posted for breakfast. I lastly asked for a late checkout time he stated “you can confirm with the morning staff” Then I asked for his name, he paused wrote something down and said “my name is…. as he drug it out, is John. Don’t believe it.
Not a terrible experience just uncomfortable and unnecessary. I will make sure to check in with the morning staff If I decide to stay at another Homewoods. It probably will never be this one. John or the middle aged young dude with the fitted polo shirt shouldn’t lose his job, or be yelled at he needs additional training over guest relations and how to handle all guest, even at 2 in the morning in hopes he will get better and one day no one will ever treat him or his family the way I was treated in that moment. The crazy part is the elevator was not working and we were the fourth floor, my family and I were even mad to have to take the stairs, John or whatever his name was, ruined the start of the experience. I won’t even wait until after I checkout to write a review. It is safe to say the morning experience will be better and the breakfast better than the night experience.

We checked into the hotel after attending a baseball game. It was very hot and the first thing the man at the front desk asked is if we wanted a cold drink. It was appreciated. The room was very clean. With covid I can sometimes be paranoid about touching surfaces but I didn’t worry in our room because everything looked clean. We booked a suite and both sides were fully stocked with towels so we didn’t have to ask for extra towels. The pool was clean and we enjoyed it after a hot day. We ordered pizza and pasta and it was so nice having plates and silverware to use. Check in was fast and they were very nice to us and explained the charges. It was a nice stay and next time we travel to Austin this will be the place we will stay.

My husband and I decided to take a short trip to Austin to celebrate his birthday. Our preference of hotels have always been the Hilton/ Homewood Suites brand, no matter the city so Austin was no different. We stayed 3 nights and checked in via at 3pm via the app, but circumstances had us arriving much later, but it allowed me to get in via a digital key, which was a huge pro to me. The property itself is BEHIND the Hampton Inn and is much smaller than most of the Homewood Suites I've stayed in. Upon arrival, I noticed they put me on the first floor even though in my preferences, it states 'higher floor" but I chalked it up to us arriving so late. When we got to our room, we put out stuff down and we turned on the AC and the ice maker and went to get something to eat. When returned roughly an hour or 2 later, there was no ice made and the room temp was still the same. I called down to the front desk thinking I was doing something wrong and they instructed me to set it to the degree I wanted and it would drop on in its own. Much to my dismay, it never dropped the whole duration of our stay. They called maintenance to service it the next evening and they instructed us to turn on the fan and let it run for an 1 hr and then turn the AC on, and that still did not work. They also the ice maker and found a line not connected, so they connected it and said it should start within the hour. It never started. Also my digital key only worked the first night, I had to get it reprogrammed and my husband got a physical key and lucky he did because the digital key stopped working again. The young lady, Dakota, at the front desk offered me points before maintenence serviced the room. I said thank you and went back to my room. Upon checkout, I spoke with Alec, who said he was the Operations Manager and addressed my concerns and he too offered points equal to a nights stay which I have not seen refreshed on my account. Overall staff was nice but these few inconveniences soured my stay.

Due to "pandemic staffing shortage" the hotel staff was limited, however the level of customer service provided by Alex was outstanding. He was working between two properties the weekend of our stay. Late Friday night he was at one property checking guests in; the next morning at the other property serving breakfast. Sunday morning he was checking people out. All the while he was upbeat, energetic and awesome!
Breakfast was plentiful, warm and very tasty.
The rooms were very clean! Kudos to housekeeping for being able to flip the rooms in a timely manner!
