We loved the Austin Motel! The location is the best part as you can easily walk to tons of different restaurants and shops. Every morning we went next door to Jo's for coffee and delicious breakfast tacos (highly recommend going here at least once!). We stayed in a king room

Pros: South Congress is where it’s at. A walk/bike/scooter ride from all Austin has to offer. The front desk and Joann’s next door have super friendly, warm & helpful people. Evan a favourite :) Delicious food at Joann’s and great patio! Property is lovely. Too cold for the

After seeing the retro lobby and reading reviews, I was shocked at the quality of the room I was given. Filthy floor, a bathroom that was not "retro" but simply fifty years old, and locks on the door that were equally old. There is only so much you can get by with on a "retro"

Hi, Thank you for the feedback on your stay. I'm sorry to hear you were disappointed with your experience, especially considering you were so excited to return! Our custom bed frames are positioned a little lower than average, and while we often receive compliments on the beds, I understand personal preference can vary. We will certainly look at the air conditioner in your room, as the intermittent operation sounds out of the ordinary. If you are in Austin again and open to giving us another chance, I would love to show you other rooms to try and find a more comfortable fit for you. Thanks again,

Any option for breakfast? Discount nearby or free bagels there or something?
The motel does not sell or have food service but there is a taco place next door which was always busy and a fantastic dinner about 3 or 4 blocks from there (heading away from downtown) that is open 24 hrs with really good and inexpensive food. About 10 mins walk or so.

wich rooms are the best to choose with most character for two people?
We stayed in the smallest room as we only needed it to sleep. Can't remember what they call it... It was big enough for two without feeling claustrophobic.
