Had a wonderful stay with my daughter while touring UT Austin. 10 min away from UT campus. Conveniently located near food restaurants. Very helpful staff. TO-GO BREAKFAST available , excellent coffee. Valet parking not available due to covid but plenty of self parking available underground.
Hyatt House in downtown is an awesome place to stay when visiting Atown. Friendly staff, comfortable beds, and a kitchen as well.! You cant ask for much more. But wait, I haven’t mentioned the location. This is a great launching spot to explore downtown Austin. I love visiting this property for a lovers weekend with my beautiful wife. You will find your self in the middle of the legendary Atown music scene when you hit the streets right outside the front door. 6th street is a short walk away and Stubbs BBQ is even closer. Great food can be found all around this property. For a rock and roll good time with your favorite lover be sure to book a room at this Hyatt House.
I had to make an emergency trip to Austin, and I was grateful for the staff booking me last minute. Room was clean and had everything I needed. I forgot my toothpaste in my rush to get packed and the front desk employee was kind enough to give it to me. They were even kind enough to give me directions to where I needed to go.
We had to relocate to this hotel when we lost power & water. The beds were extremely comfortable, rooms spacious and clean. Very friendly and informative staff, especially given the weather conditions.
I tried to stay here during the Snow/Ice Storm last week. I booked the reservation thru Booking.com website and recieved a confirmation. On the day of check in I checked out of my current hotel and proceeded to walk to (no car, no uber available, no bus, nothing due to storm) the Hyatt house. The walk took about 2 hours to go 1.5 miles in the ice. When we arrived to check in the manager said they are not honoring any booking.com or 3rd party reservations. This was news to us and it would have helped if we got this notice before we checked out of the previous hotel. This essentially made us homeless. I would not recommend staying at a place like this if they will not honor a reservation needed during a crisis. Thanks hyatt house for causing me undo stress and pain during the worst time possible.…
