Certificate of Excellence
The Hotel San Jose is located on South Congress Avenue, a few blocks south of where the Colorado River runs through downtown Austin. Originally built in 1939 as an "ultramodern motor court," the San Jose has since been transformed into a secluded urban bungalow-style hotel in the heart of one of the city's most beloved neighborhoods.

My husband and I were in Austin to see an act at the iconic Continental Club. Chose this hotel because it’s directly across the street from the CC. We were able to park in the hotel’s private lot avoiding the crazy angle parking you have to back into along South Congress. Definit

We stayed at the Hotel San Jose 20 years ago just after they opened. At the time, we felt the Hotel was edgy ( a former motel) but it fit right in with the emerging vibe of Austin as a hip center of music, food and the Texas tech centered life. Now, with prices rivaling full ser

I see you have a double queen left. I am a party of 5. Me and my Wife with 3 kids. How many allowed to a room?
HI there, what are your parking arrangements? We have a small boat on top of our car roof-rack so need headspace plus secure spot. thks
Can't answer the security question (perhaps hotel management?), but headspace is no issue.

Are dogs of all sizes welcome? Also, what is the vine/shrub that grows up the exterior walls? So beautiful!
Hello, Thank you for your interest in Hotel San Jose. We do welcome dogs of all sizes. They are $10/night per dog and we love our four-legged friends. The vine growing on the outside of the building is called Fig Ivy. Hope this helps and we see you in the future! Kindest Regards, Meghan Hughes, GM
