I have never provided a hotel review on trip advisor and I travel frequently but was so disappointed in the service that I felt the need to let people know. Charming hotel, great location doesn't also include great customer service at this hotel. Stayed at the San Jose a year ago and enjoyed my stay so decided to spend my...

This hotel is so fun. You must stay here. Once an old motor lodge, this hotel has been transformed into a green oasis in the middle of the South Congress neighborhood of Austin. Each room opens onto its own section of an amazing garden. The bed is very comfortable, the room is super clean (not huge but very clean), great...

I stayed at Hotel San Jose for work. Lots of great pros but one con. Pros 1) The hotel is located in a fabulous location on South Congress Avenue. 2) Walking distance to many restaurants, bars, the Continental Club, and shops. 3) Beautiful landscape. In fact, a bride and groom were taking advantage of it by taking their wedding photos...

Before we booked our stay at the San Jose we were torned between staying downtown or on South Congress. I am happy to say we did the right choice. Hotel San Jose has a perfect location right on South Congress. It is beautiful, clean och just perfect in every way. Really nice and helpfull staff with local knowledge. I did...

I was there for a workshop and needed a place to stay for the night. I was only going to be in Austin for a little over 24 hours so I wanted to be somewhere in walking/bike riding distance to downtown. Although I came to realize I didn't need to go downtown since the location was perfect on South Congress....

This was a very cute quite individual boutique hotel. The grounds were beautifully kept, and I was very happy with my room. The staff were friendly and the hotel bar was a great place to spend an afternoon/evening. The whole hotel had a relaxed vibe and being on South Congress you were within walking distance to shops and restaurants.

We stayed at Hotel San Jose for a weekend in the summer. Although it seemed to be fully booked, there was a mellow, serene atmosphere in the lounge and pool area. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, with many local Austin touches everywhere. The service was great as well.

Not your typical hotel, its style and decor are a nice change from the usual cookie cutter hotels. Its a little pricey and they do try to sell you all sorts of additional stuff inside the room (soaps, flip flops, etc etc). But overall is is a nice stay and in a really cute neighborhood with lots of places to...

A girlfriend of mine and i recently stayed at the Hotel San Jose on the way to another destination and loved it! The area surrounding the hotel is right where you want to shop, eat and walk. The staff at the hotel were so engaging and happy and even made coffee for us at 5:30 am on our way out....

God, i LOVE the San Jose. I have stayed here at least 20 times, I go to Austin for work a couple times a year and have yet to try any other hotel, although the Saint Cecilia is on my list for next time. This place is so relaxing and lovely, the decor is minimalist and classy without trying to...
