I recently stayed there and had a pleasant experience. Its close enough to take a cab to downtown and there's always a place to park your car. The view of downtown is gorgeous and the pool is great for watching the sunset. All of the staff, which includes the bartenders, kitchen, hosts, and janitorial were extremely helpful and hospitable. The... More

My colleague and I stayed in the Casulo last week for a business trip, and it was definitely unique. Themed after Asia, it is a very clean hotel with urban, chic decor. The entire building seemed to be newly updated with new fixtures, granite counters in the bathroom, hip lighting. The only odd thing was there is a window between... More

I travel almost every week for work so I've stayed several places in Austin and the Casulo is my favorite HANDS DOWN! The rooms are super chic and the decor is fabulous but the best part is the customer service! Everyone is very friendly and eager to help you. Even ran into an issue when I had to change a... More

I watched this little place being built--and thought nothing of it! Then booked a room here and realized it's just beautiful and totally reasonably priced. The decor is asian-feng-sui style and it's calming, relaxing, and impressive at the same time. I had the jacuzzi suit and loved how I could see all the way to the end of the room... More

We have stayed at Casulo on several occasions. The rooms are really nice, different, and the beds are COMFORTABLE! This past Saturday we were on every hotel website looking for rooms. Everything was either sold out or WAY overpriced because of the Labor Day weekend. We called around to several hotels just in case there were cancellations. Casulo was one... More

The website for this place was were they did a great job. It stops there. It seems as if this was a reopened hotel under a different name. The room we booked looked nothing like what was on their website. I know this shouldn't be a surprise. However, we booked this place thinking it would be a step up from... More

Not my favorite place to stay. It was clean just old looking. We had to change rooms because the bathroom had a window facing the room! Awkward! Not good when you're with two teenagers. Breakfast was not impressive and the coffee was cold.

So me and the hub tried to stay here for 1 night and got a balcony suite. I say tried cuz we left after a few hours! It's just us and we were looking for a romantic stay away from our house. Bad bad call! We walk in and lobby stinks. Funky odor not pleasant. Check in was easy but... More

Stayed here around SXSW and their rates were still good. Very nice hotel. Only complaint was that they stated they had a nice breakfast buffet, but that wasn't the case. Rooms are very unique, really liked the bathroom set-up.
