The staff at this location was the best. We were in Austin for a conference. No one in our party had any complaints. The staff were friendly and professional. They meet our every need. The commodtions was perfect. I usually don't rate hotels but I had to say something about this amazing staff of Anthony, Lhea, Princess, Jordan, Cierra and the Kitchen Staff Marcos. A special thanks to Princess and Lhea who help resolve some reservation issues of no faut of the hotel. We were able to have a cookout outside close to the pool. The staff also supplied us with extra utensils without hesitation. Each staff member greeted us with smiles every time we passed. This staff gets an A+ rating from my group which occupied approximately 13 rooms of mostly double occupancy. After speaking to each of them. Not one of the had a complaint. I was given the tesk to find an hotel. This staff made me look great in the eyes of my group. But this would not have been possible without Miranda who booked our group. Thanks again from myself James and my Mason brothers, Eastern Star sisters.

Our family of 4 (adults) stayed two nights at this hotel. The rooms were clean, roomy, convenient and we loved the mini kitchette with seating area Great counter to enjoy a cup of coffee and work on our laptops. One night we sat outdoors near the firepit...our only regret was that we didn't have a glass of wine in hand. No one was using the basketball courts but several young kids were enjoying the heated pool. Nice set up - we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely book at a Staybridge again. The low lighting around the grounds enhanced the ambiance - loved it. So many doors to enter the hotel and we never felt safety was an issue - even in the dark at 5a when we had to walk the dog.

I made a reservation in response to an email solicitation from the Sonesta Travel Pass Membership Club. My plans changed and I called to cancel the reservation. The clerk informed me that they would be glad to cancel the reservation, but the charges are NONREFUNDABLE, and my card has already been charged . The stay was not to begin for another 3 days from now.

We stayed here on the dorm move-in weekend for UT. The hotel is in a great area in the Arboretum/Domain which is safe and has all the shopping/restaurants you need and it's only 15 minutes from the campus on the Mopac tollway. We had a King bed with the sofa bed. The sofa bed is a joke. Our daughter slept on this and had a terrible night's sleep as the mattress is super thin. She actually couldn't wait to sleep in her dorm bed the next night. Our bed was good. The bathroom doesn't have a door on the sink area so if someone uses that the light pours into your room. There's only a door on the toilet/tub area so really poor design. Good shower pressure. AC was good in our room but hardly coming out in the room with the sofa bed. The fridge didn't keep any of our items cold and was broken. The couch and chairs in the room are really dated and have a scratchy material on them so we put the extra sheets on them to sit on them. The breakfast is only a few items to go but we didn't mind. There's no housekeeping so you need to ask for new towels.

Hello BushkaTexas, Thanks for choosing to stay with us among your many lodging options. We also appreciate your candid remarks. I am happy that you appreciate our hotel’s location and found the bed comfortable. It is also great to see your exceptional rating in our colleagues service and room's cleanliness. I understand your disappointment with both the room’s layout and dated furniture. I am also sorry to hear about the discomfort with the sofa bed, broken air conditioning and refrigerator. Trust that we’re always looking out for our guests’ best interests, and I will immediately convey your remarks to our hotel’s upper management for improvements on our amenities and services. Again, thank you for your feedback. I hope we can win back your heart and try us again. Hope to see you soon! Best, Kenneth F. Case Manager IHGService

Lhea at the front desk and Marcos who worked the breakfast cafe were fantastic. We’ve been here for a week and every morning, Marcos asked me a genuine “How are you?”. He had a wonderful attitude. Lhea was nothing but friendly, personal, and had a sense of humor.
Might I suggest that both Lhea and Marcos train the front desk staff. They know what customer service is. I do wish for the rest of the front desk to improve in their hospitality skills.
Princess, the supposed manager, had a poor attitude and I overheard her complaining about work and the people to the kitchen staff. That is not helpful to the listener as well as it’s terrible for a customer to hear.
Coming from someone who has built quality assurance standards, trains businesses on customer service, etc - promote Lhea and Marcos!

This was a short family visit. I used points and cash to book this one (looks like that went through Expedia). We could only get a queen with a sofa bed, so I was a little curious if it would be spacious enough. But thankfully, the room was spacious enough and the bed was comfortable. The sofa bed was ok, as most sofa beds are. We were greeted by a friendly person at the desk. The breakfast was good, similar to a Hampton / Homewood breakfast. Overall, this was a good place to spend a few nights. Parking is an additional five bucks.

We needed a place to stay with our adult son for one night. It was a great place in every way. It was very clean, had a very large selection at breakfast (including having the soda machine working in the morning!), friendly staff, and a great parking lot. They also have a fire pit with a fire to keep you warm after swimming in the heated pool. The basketball court is a great bonus. It was very reasonable in price as well. The bed was very comfortable. They had a package of microwave popcorn in the room which was a nice treat.

This will be a weird review, but I booked this hotel through Hotwire and prepaid for a 1-night stay. The hotel looked lovely and it's conveniently located near the Arboretum and the various business offices, but when I checked in they said that they gave my room away to a person that needed an extended stay. Frankly, I was so stunned and tired from my flight that I didn't argue, I just blankly went to the hotel that they set me up at (the nearby AmeriSuites, a gross 2-star-at-best hotel). When I asked the guy at AmeriSuites if this happens frequently, he said it does happen in that area due to the many businesses nearby (apparently, they'll bump a one-nighter in a heartbeat to accommodate a 2-5 nighter that has an account with them). I would say to swear off all Staybridge Suite hotels due to the way this one treated me, but later in the week I stayed at the Staybridge Suites in Round Rock, Texas and they were wonderful and it was a great hotel. Just thought I should alert you all to what happened to me. Good luck!

When we arrived, we had a party of 4 in our family, and we were given a queen bed with a non pull-out couch, to sleep only 3. When we went back downstairs, the front desk lady said that was all they had, but the manager came out and gave us an upgrade for $10 total (over 2 nights), and we got a 2 room suite, with 2 queens in one one room, and a pull out couch in another - 1 tv in each room (which was GREAT, as the two kiddos we have watched cartoons in one room, while my wife and i got out OWN TV). Mon-Thurs always provide something in the living area, like snacks or light meals, for meeting others or kids activities. We had BINGO and HOT DOGS the first night we were there, and kids LOVED it. Second night was Quiche night, with free wine and brew. Don't see that everyday!! The pool is clean and refreshing, and the weight room is really nice, and clean! I can't say enough about this place, the service, the cleanliness, the roomliness, and they also have a little store down by the front office for snacks, cokes, etc, not just vending machine, for late late night needs. Gotta try this one! Two thumbs up award!

Hi. The hotel is quite far from downtown Austin, to the northwest. You definitely need a car to get to the downtoiwn area, some 15 minuites or so as I remember.

Yes, I agree with the other reviewer. Without traffic it is about 20 to 25 minutes from the airport and with traffic it can be a little under an hour. However, it is an easy drive if you are renting a car and I agree with the amount as far as if you were to take a taxi.
There are more places to choose from in the Austin area.
