As part of a 20-person family gathering we found the front desk and dining room staff totally focused on attending to our every need and request. We enjoyed the food, gathering on comfortable sofas in front of a huge gas fireplace, tea and cookies after skiing and soaking up bright sunshine streaming through the windows.

Staying at Alta Lodge reminds me of childhood ski vacations. It's all about the the skiing. Come back zonked, after a day outside in the mountains to a hot bath and a hot meal, and all is right with the world. But my childhood ski lodge was never swarming with well trained young people eager to help you with anything...

I love skiing. I learned relatively late - only 6 years ago, and a good friend of mine invited me to Alta Lodge. So, I've started going to Alta Lodge 6 seasons ago, and I have been there every year, at least for a week. That is the place to go, if you LOVE skiing, and you love staying at...

We just returned from an incredible family vacation at the Alta Lodge. I've been coming here since I was a small child and now come with my husband and children every December. The staff is unparalleled in their warmth and responsiveness. It truly feels like we are staying with extended family. If you're interested in a warm, traditional lodge experience...

Staying at Alta Lodge can't be beat. The Staff is on it from the minute you arrive whether that is when they pick you up at the airport or when you arrive at the lodge. Everyone is just the right amount of friendly and helpful without being stiff or formal. My room was immaculate and they have great toiletries which...

Ski in and out of the lodge. Wonderful food. Thankfully, no TV or radio. Best staff anywhere. They are there to assist within minutes of a request. The rooms are somewhat modest but comfortable. You go to Alta to ski and Alta Lodge makes sure the experience is just what you hoped for.

The minute you walk in the door the staff is super welcoming and accommodating. The atmosphere is relaxed and homey. Spectacular views from just about everywhere. Food was amazing. The rooms were cozy, I loved the down duvets. Wonderful for skiers and non skiers alike. Would recommend for a single, couple or family. Can't wait to go back, most relaxing...

We got married here in September of 2015. We loved everything about our wedding! The staff was very friendly, helpful, and easy to work with. Prices were very reasonable. The views were incredible. The room that we stayed in on our wedding night was comfortable and relaxing. We could not have asked for a better experience. To celebrate our 1-year...

Alta Lodge is a very comfortable and accommodating hotel. It is still family owned and has a nice low key atmosphere in an unbelievably beautiful setting. This is not a "fancy" hotel. It is a mountain lodge experience. There are no tv's in the rooms, no coffee makers etc. There is coffee and tea available 24/7, free, in the lobby....

You need to know what you are getting before you arrive. If you are looking for a five star resort with all of the amenities they offer, then this lodge is not for you. If you are looking to relax, disconnect, look at beautiful vistas and enjoy fabulous food, then you are in the right place. The lodge is basically...
