We did not stay at the B&B but did stop there for dinner. The dining room is full of interesting artifacts, making for a very enjoyable setting. The restaurant is only about 10 tables, so it makes for an intimate dining experience. Our server was very friendly and made time for a good chat. The food was very good - chicken,...

We had been driving home to Canada, from Cape Ann, MA and stumbled upon Ransom Bay Inn. We were very hungry and had stopped at an Inn a couple miles south, which we were very disappointed with, as they wouldn't serve us even though they had empty seats. The host advised that the kitchen was just too busy. Once we...

This restaurant has become a go-to for my wife and me, The restaurant is quite small and consequently, the menu is limited. There are about 5 entre choices but all are very good, We have had the salmon, the steaks and in October, we had the rack of lamb. It was done quite well with a cherry sauce. It was...

We loved this place! Lorraine and Richard are wonderful owners and hosts. They know how to run a B&B. Yes. The home is a old, but that is what makes it so cool. It has the history and quaintness that makes you feel cozy and warm. So...don't go here if you need pristine, immaculate, and perfect accommodations. It shows its...

You never know what you'll really get when you book blindly on line but I was very happy with what we got. It is a historical building so of course everything is old but fascinating. I could only imagine the thousands of hands that touched the same post going upstairs - that's history! I did think the restaurant meal was...

After riding for almost 10 hours on our motorcycles, we finally made it to Ransom Bay Inn. Didn't know what to expect, however Rick and Lorraine were nothing but FANTASTIC. Came with a group on motorcycles and had a great time. Arrived late but they had a table waiting for us for dinner. Dinner was terrific! Lisa was our server...

My Wife and I stayed at Ransom Bay on an overnight bike trip. A very cool old historic Inn, with a great bar and restaurant. Nice comfortable rooms, we stayed in the Wicker Room. I prefer a king bed but still had a good nights sleep. The owners were very friendly and attentive. Dinner was great, but then again we...

If you like a bed that lists, bed covers which mean you're either too hot or cold, and horribly overpriced dinner, then this is for you. The hosts are very friendly and helpful, but they've little to work with. The place needs a good remodeling, and the kitchen a new chef. Breakfast was good....not outstanding, but quite good. Location is...

My husband and I stayed at Ransom Bay Inn Bed & Breakfast last year, and could not wait to return. Lorraine and Richard, the owners and exceptional hosts are wonderful. They are so busy but do not let any stress they have show. They are very welcoming and friendly. We stayed in the "Wicker Room" this year and found it...

My friend and I stayed in the Spinning Wheel room for a 2-night getaway during peak foliage season. The room was comfortable with private bath. No issue with the water pressure that other reviewers mentioned, although the shower is awkwardly designed due to the slanting ceiling. Rooms are lacking a bit in the decor, but charming nonetheless. Very quiet as...
