Our daughter has been trying to get us to start going to B&Bs for our travels so when we decided to go to Abingdon to the Barter Theater it seemed the thing to do. The Copper Lantern Inn filled the bill for what were looking for. From the first call and talking to Betty, she took over and took all... More

Highly recommended. Kimberly and Betty were remarkable! Helped us make reservations at area attractions, scrumptious food and beverage (big points for asking about any food allergies before we arrived!) which they arranged around our schedule and were such pleasant and attentive company. It is especially wonderful to stay in a place where the people there truly enjoy what they do....

We booked our trip last minute, but Betty and Kim took care of every last detail for us, and made everything an breeze. From the moment we walked in we immediately felt welcome and relaxed. The food is top notch not only at the Inn (weeks after our trip and I'm still thinking of the lovely breakfast Kim made), but... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at The Copper Lantern! Both Betty and Kim made me feel warmly welcome, and their scrumptious cooking and sweet hospitality completely won me over! I particularly enjoyed the atmosphere - not only was I staying at a beautifully decorated and aesthetically pleasing house, I was also staying in a loving home. If I ever come... More

My husband and I knew from the minute we called the Inn that this was the place we wanted to spend our 5th anniversary. When we called they booked us right away along with everything else we would do for the weekend. We didn't have to worry about a thing. Then when we walked in we felt like family. They... More

This mother and daughter team of hosts at the Copper Lantern are the only names you will need to know in Abingdon. They know everyone else. My wife and I spent three nights with them, celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary. This was a surprise gift for my wife. I asked Betty and Kim for all kinds of help; flowers, dinner... More

From our first phone call, I knew we had gotten this one right. You always know. The Copper Lantern is a magical place in the heart of Abingdon convenient (by foot even!) to everything you could possibly want to do. We felt comfortable and at home from the moment we arrived. The only thing more lovely than the house was... More

This was our first B & B experience and it turned out to be an amazing romantic getaway. Betty & Kimberly were wonderful hosts; they made all of our reservations to the local attractions and even made fresh baked goodies for my late night cravings. Each morning Betty & Kim provided a gourmet breakfast and every evening we were poured... More

From the minute we walked in the door we felt loved and relaxed. There is a heavenly peace etched in the walls of the Copper Lantern magnified by the radical hospitality of Kim and Betty. They make everyone that enters feel welcomed and special. The decor is meticulous and breathtaking while still comfortable and cozy. They truly made us feel... More
