Awful experience. My husband and I are frequent travelers and VERY often stay at the cheapest hotels. Outdated rooms, uncomfortable beds, poor service, and gross breakfast is our usual. However- this is the WORST experience we've ever had- EVER. There was still trash in our room. It looked like the plastic part from store-bought cookies. This didn't bother us so...

Clean. Needs some aesthetics and sprucing up, but still a good value. People are awesome and it feels like a very homey type atmosphere. Staff is wonderful. Would recommend for a no frills, close to everything, and good honest personable staff.

I stayed 6 nights in this hotel. It is in Crystal City - 2 blocks from the metro (yellow/blue lines) There are several nicer hotels in the area but for the price this one was great. The rooms were very clean and updated. The staff is very nice. Breakfast is continental but the pastries are fresh. The hotel is located...

When you see this hotel from the street, you wouldn't expect much at all, but I was quite pleasantly surprised and pleased. Don't let the outside fool you, it's a real hidden little "retro" gem! Old 50's hotel with many updates! Lobby was very sweet and inviting! Staff very helpful and kind. Room was cozy, neat and clean. And best...

Was a bit nervous. EVERYTHING is dated in this hotel but clean. The room was nice the bathroom was very 60's. A clean comfortable place to spend the night. There are much more expensive hotels literally next door but for the price I don't think you can beat this hotel.

We stayed here on a friend's recommendation. The hotel was clean, comfortable and ideally located just a short walk from either Crystal City or Pentagon City Metro stations. The staff were friendly and helpful, with lots of useful advice to give. The hotel offers a free shuttle to anywhere within a mile. That was great for going out to eat...

I actually stayed in December 2015 but it has taken me this long to write this. I wanted to do it still though because this place was great. It is older and the bathroom was small, but as a solo traveller, not an issue. The actual room was a decent size and you do not hear much noise at all...

This is our third time staying at the Americana. Small family owned. Friendly check in, shuttle and small breakfast. Not all modern and sleek but clean and comfortable. Free wi-fi. Good location. Right next to Crystal City Metro. Free car parking. Easy access from interstate. We will be back to stay again.

My husband and I stayed in room 221 and thought the room was a great value near DCA 2 nights before Inauguration. quiet and comfy. Clean with great wifi. $12 taxi fare from DCA after 11pm when shuttle stops. Close to bus stop. Free continental breakfast. Didn't give it 5 stars due to lack of ice machine on 2nd floor...
