I've been to LochAerie twice (over 5 years) and both times in the winter. I really love this place. The hosts are fantastic - Chris and Tom are so welcoming, and they make a great team. The cabins take you back to the time they were built (the 1920's) but have been upgraded and cared for so well. They are...

Chris and Tom are wonderful and welcoming hosts. They have restored several cozy cabins overlooking Lake Quinault and the south end of the Olympic Mountains. We stayed in Colonel Bob surrounded by huge trees - with a beautiful view from a covered porch of the north end of the lake and the mountains, often partially covered in a mist or...

I have been staying at Lochaerie for going on six years now and especially love the shoulder season or winter when it is wonderful weather to sit inside in front of the fire for several days doing nothing but reading, eating, drinking tea, napping, and watching the lake (and maybe sneaking over to Lake Quinalt Lodge for a meal --...

We stayed in the Col. Bob cabin & had a great time. It's rustic but has everything you need, particularly that stunning deck to sit on looking over the lake. It's so quite and peaceful, hummingbirds pop by in the morning and bats swoop nearby in the evening. They have kayaks & canoes you can borrow to explore the lake....

I always depend on Tripadvisor reviews, and this is my first complaint. We visited Lochaerie Resort in August 2015. Lochaerie gets the lowest rating because of the lack of response by the owners, Tom and Chris Iversen, to an Angeles cabin propane stove leak. Despite bringing this very strong propane smell to their attention immediately when we arrived, and as...

In a word - awesome - Tom and Chris are great hosts. Each cabin is wonderful - we stayed in the Colonel Bob -- but I looked at the others and they are all really nice. Great wood burning stoves in each cabin ... and a great view of the lake. You won't be disappointed!

Our cabin by the lake was one of only six, built in the 1920s, and had no TV; if you wanted WiFi service, you had to sit on the deck outside the office, located in the owners’ house. The cabin had a living area with a twin bed on the far wall, a bedroom with a double bed, a small...

My wife and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary in the lovely Locharie Resort's cabin Christie. Perched 15 feet above the shoreline of Lake Quinault, the 1930's cabin is private, rustic and charming, with a small, fully equipped kitchen and a shower. It offers beautiful views of the ever-changing light over the mountains and water. Eight river otters frolicked just...

Such a beautiful and peaceful place to be. Absolutely amazing views of Lake Quinalt. The owners were also so hospitable. I highly recommend and will return. The cabins are very quaint and clean. We stayed at the Olympus with our 2 children. We absolutely loved canoeing and kayaking in the morning which is included in your stay.

We stayed at the Olympus cabin for 3 days and it was amazing! The staff are all so friendly and accommodating and the views are spectacular!! The cabin is a one bedroom with bunk beds in the living room. There are drapes separating the rooms. The main bed is a full size and does not have a view unless you...
