We stayed here to see how their onsen bath was. It had a sauna too. The rotenburo(outside bath)was too lukewarm and it was windy so not so nice to bathe in. The bonus was that it had a sauna along with 2 bath areas. One was hotter than the other = thank goodness. I prefer the hotter bath. Also we... More

There is truth in advertising, the rooms are a bit dorm-like. But what this hotel and larger hotel chain lacks in elegance it has in extras. It is convenient to Hirosaki Castle, Neputa-mura (Neputa Village) and Hirosaki Medical University. Look for the midnight noodles, the right snack if you just spent three hours on the Shinkansen eating your third Bento... More

Booked this hotel because it is within walking distance of Hirosaki Castle and thus convenient for the winter light-up. Though not near the station, a free pick-up taxi service was provided from 2.30 pm, just have to stand by the Apple Postbox and the driver will approach you with the hotel placard. There's complimentary juice and coffee in the lobby... More

A pleasant stay in a comfortable room. I appreciated the onsen on the 10th floor. The midnight noodles (9:30pm-11pm) were a treat, but I personally found noodles before bed (as well as the free coffee) a sleep disruption. The breakfast (1300¥) is worth having (better still if they served cereal). Location wise it's a little removed, but the hotel offers... More

The Hotel was not near the Train or Bus Station, so they offered a number of treats to attract clientele. Dormy was a modern hotel with good-sized room in Japanese standard, especially when compared to the city norm. Parking was available at extra cost. Convenient store and petrol station were just across the road. Dormy had a lovely onsen (hot... More

Im not into Big Box hotels..but this was conveniently located (close by Hirosaki castle/park), free shuttle from train station, and a excellent onsen on the roof open all night, great free noodles in the evening, a very gracious front desk. Thank you for your staying at our hotel. We are glad to read your great massege. The snow cone that your kids enjoyed making is a special service in summer. We stayed during the annual "Two Day March" Volksmarch that starts from the City Hall (which is nearby). The rooftop hot spring bath was welcome after each day's walk. The hotel feels a bit like a Japanese version of Premier Inn or Travelodge minus the comfy beds. I was slightly put off by the fact that there were smoking rooms, surely a health-conscious nation like Japan would have caught up with the rest of the world and introduce a non-smoking policy in all public buildings by now? There was... More

A short taxi ride to the hotel covered by the hotel. Very clean room, yes it is on the smaller side but for 2 people for 1 night it is perfect. Close to the historical area and castle. Would definitely stay again. Travelling around Japan on a 7 day rail pass, so hotels near stations are great.
