Amazing location, rooms with amazing sea view, very clean rooms and handsome hosts.Easy walk to several restaurants and bars with very good seafoood in offerHotel offered excellent value for the price Fabulous hotel on beachfront
Small very nice hotel 30 minutes walk from Saranda city. The hotel is super clean on the inside and outside. It has a small beach and a super wiew over the sea and Corfu from the rooms and porch. The hotel manager really cares about his guests. I highly recommended this hotel for couples and lonely travelers.
We spent two weeks at Hotel Visad and were very impressed. The location is excellent - right on the sea and a good distance away from the noisy centre of Sarande. The hotel staff are most obliging and friendly. The rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean. We had an uninterrupted sea view from our large balcony. Our only complaint was the lack of a table and chairs on the balcony, which would have made it perfect. The hotel does not have a restaurant but there are plenty of places to eat nearby. We found the best were the more traditional Albanian restaurants just outside the town, going towards Butrint. It is best to take Euros with you rather than relying on ATMs, which can only be found in the port area. We had a great stay in Albania and would like to thank the hotel staff for their hospitality.…
Hotel Visad is located about 2,5km from the city centre of Sarande. When we arrived in Sarande, the taxi driver hadn´t heard about the hotel. As others have stated it is probably vise to mention Hotel Atlantis, as that is a much bigger hotel which lies next to Hotel Visad. All the other taxi drivers had heard of Hotel Atlantis. When you arrive at the port of Sarande you will be met by many people asking if you need a taxi. These cars don´t have license plates. When we finally found a real taxi we didn´t pay more than 5€ to Hotel Visad. The "fake" taxis wanted 10€... When we arrived the hotel we were met by a very friendly staff. Check-in went smoothly and we got a corner-room on the third floor with a great sea-view. The bathroom was ok, but my girlfriend thought that it wasn´t top-modern. The bed was not that comfortable. The best thing about Hotel Visad was that it had its very own beach, including sunbeds! If you want a relaxing vacation, with bathing, tanning and reading, this is the place to be. We never had a problem to find available sunbeds. The service of the staff was very good. They always tried their best to fullfil our needs. Both the first and the last day they supplied us with free drinks. They helped us to get taxis and had nice restaurant recommendations. The hotel offers free wifi to all guests on the whole hotel area, but we experienced that the wifi worked better on the beach than on the rooms. The breakfast on the hotel was ok, but nothing special. Croissants, white bread, ham, cheese, yoghurts, juice, milk. It is also possible to order cappuccino etc. in the hotel bar. There wasn´t any hotel restaurant when we stayed there, but close to hotel there are some nice lunch restaurants where you don´t have to pay more than 11€ for a lunch for two persons including a big beer + a glass of wine (hint: the restaurant in Hotel Eval). Hotel Visad is situated about 2,5km from Sarande Centre. All evenings we walked from the hotel to the centre to eat. We went to Ksamil one day to check out the nice beaches that we had heard so much about, but found it to be rather overrated. Too many people, noisy, and the beach+sea weren´t that spectacular as we had thought it would be. We preferred Hotel Visad and their beach facilities much more as it was very comfortable to have the nice hotel room so close to the beach. Last thing to say: When you arrive the hotel and are going to pay, bring € in cash so you´re not charged with the 3% credit card fee!…
We have looked from Corfu to Albania for a number of years and decided this year to have a few days there. The hotel was just what we were looking for. Small, friendly and inexpensive. We had three nights there and although it is not in the centre of Saranda we were delighted with its position. It was quiet, clean, well maintained and had a few nice restaurants and bars nearby. It is on a steep hill and for some people this might be a problem. The private shingle beach and loungers were much appreciated as we noticed that at other hotels and on the public beach in Saranda town they were mobbed!! The young waiter Andy, brought drinks ...first class attention. The breakfast was adequate...no bacon and egg thank goodness!! And the mountain tea was delicious!! One word of warning...when you get off the ferry...do NOT ask anyone at the port to,get you a taxi.....we approached an official who telephoned someone who,was obviously a pal....we were charged 20 euros for a 5 euro trip!! When we told the hotel owner he was furious...he said we should have telephoned him and he would have come for us....if you want to get a taxi just walk up to the town. Centre which is only 5 minutes walk and you will get an official taxi. Also be careful when changing euros or pounds into Lek as the money ex hangs guy tried to give us 2500 lek less than the rate but we argued, he gave us the correct rate. The hotel visas will change euros and gave us the Internet exchange rate. Euros are widely used but sometimes it costs more to pay with them so best to have some lek..... All in all it was an experience we enjoyed....a few drawbacks and it would not be to everyone's taste but worth a visit !!!…
