We stayed for a week and absolutely loved this hotel.
Amazing location right on the beach and also a very quick walk to the promenade (10 min) - the road that the hotel is in is also really convenient right near the Spar supermarket and with plenty of restaurants, shops and bars.
We stayed in the family room which was amazing. Really big and spacious with fabulous aircon which really worked and was not noisy.
The breakfast was perfect - delicious coffee and then a selection of cereals, breads, cheeses and cold meats and fruit and salad - more than enough and they keep refilling.
Everything is spotlessly clean.
It is run by a family and although we did not meet the owners (they were present) we met both daughters who were very friendly.
We also loved the big watercooler on our floor and also at the breakfast.
The hotel is very relaxed - when we were there it was full but no one up at 6am reserving sun beds which we liked. The pool is great and we spent alot of time there.
They offer someone who comes in to do massages but we did not use the person but it is available.
We thought Olga at the reception was really knowledgable with everything.
We loved that the hotel only offered breakfast and so you were welcome to bring in your own food (for lunch) and sit and eat on the deck and your own drinks - no pressure to buy from the hotel.
The only downsides:
We had hot water problems in the room a few times early evening but they did manage to fix for us.
The other is that no matter how you settle the bill you get charged. They don't want you to pay by credit card so if you pay cash the ATMS charge alot to draw cash and then when we did pay by card they add on 3%.
All around a fantastic stay and we would definitely stay there again.

The rooms (superior) were really good. The view of the sea was fantastic.
Cleanliness was very good

The location of the hotel is perfect (located on a slope, so if you have difficulty moving it can be difficult to walk to and from the hotel). But close to everything you need.

The staff were helpful and nice (needed a few days to warm them up). But overall they were very nice.
The beds I felt were comfortable and good.
Close to the beach 10-15 meters
-
People smoke by the pool (Albania is a very smoke-loving country)
Many smoke by the beach
The beach got very dirty after our first week. Lots of plastic bottles that lay in the water and on the beach.
Could have had slightly easier food to buy at the hotel.

Very nice boutique hotel in the heart of Saranda. Short walk to great restaurants and the promenade. Room was clean and comfortable. Shower was great. Balcony was a great addition. The pool was very nice, although the lounge chairs were a bit worn out. The rocky beach was just across the way with lounge chairs reserved for hotel guests. Two things fell short of my expectations: 1) charging 1,50 euros for "use of a beach towel" was ridiculous, and 2) the buffet breakfast choices seemed quite limited and the espresso machine was "broken" or non-existent. This new breakfast room had just opened - lovely atmosphere, but too hot and a bit noisy with the open kitchen. Staff at front desk were very friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations, etc.

This hotel is not a 4 star hotel. There is no service at all. I asked the reception to print an urgent 3 page document. The opened their email (something they apparently don’t normally do) and said they would print it by the time I returned from dinner. When I got back from dinner the reception area was dark. My document had not been printed and indeed still hasn’t been printed. The room is tiny, plainer than plain, and there is no bottled water. The towels are cheap and scratchy. Extremely disappointed.

Just home from Vila Kalcuni. The hotel is in an excellent location with a great view of the horseshoe bay, particularly at night.
The suite with the large balcony is also excellent.
We found all the staff to be pleasant and helpful. The breakfast whilst not bad could very simply be improved.
1 . Cook eggs as required
2. Improve range of cereals
3. Replace the orange juice with fresh orange juice.
Very disappointing that the pool was not available as advertised. Clients should be aware of this before booking.
On a minor matter, the beach is not private but is extremely close with sun loungers are available free of charge from the hotel. I’ll

On arriving at the hotel, the first room we were allocated was dirty with hairs in the room and had a bad smell, very musty. We then paid another €30 per night to upgrade to get away from the smell and this room was better. Even though the original room cost was double the cost than a stay in an amazing hotel, Central Inn, in the centre of Tirana!!
As we were sleeping we were woken up by music and kept awake well into the night with this, other guests, dogs barking and fireworks. We booked this hotel as it was advertised as sound proofed and it most definitely wasn’t. Breakfast was awful compared to the 2 other hotels we stayed at on our trip around Albania.

Most definitely wouldn’t stay here again!

It was our last hotel on our tour of Albania and we had booked it because of the proximity to the ferry port. Our Deluxe Twin Room, looked more like a converted single room 😔. On credit card payment there is still an extra charge 😡 Pool and beach are not free (although we did not want to lie on these bugged loungers on the beach either🤢) Can not understand all these good reviews at all. By a luxury hotel (as it is displayed) I mean something else. We had much better hotels on our round trip.

Just returned from this hotel ...
I must say that the hotel is in a great location on the sea and with its parking (very important thing .. in saranda parking is like winning the enalotto )

The hotel is completely different from all other ...
It's neoclassical... white marble... spotless...
Pool really TOP ....

The important thing is that there is a peace that I was no longer used to...
The rooms are very nice and large .. warmly decorated ...

The breakfast that many have found lacking... from my side is exceptional ...
there is everything and more until 10.30 ... in the air-conditioned depandace ....

Small tones:
sandpaper bath towels ( we are in Albania )
They charge the commission of the card apart...

I must say that the tones are largely outweighed by the comforts ...
Congratulations really.....

We had a great trip! First time in Albania and Vila Kalcuni, we can't help but recommend this place! Nice staff, especially the owners' daughter Thea! As always was happy and helpful! A quiet hotel, very clean and tidy. Nice pool area with close to the hotel's own small beach. Wifi was good when you were down by the pool area, unfortunately it didn't work at all in the room.. So we had to buy each Albanian SIM card, but it worked out fine.
For Swedes who are used to a breakfast buffet with a lot of variety, there is unfortunately a very small selection. But considering how cheap it is down in Albania, it still felt okay to buy what you lacked at the grocery store (which, by the way, was only 2 minutes away from the hotel)
Close to the promenade and nice restaurants

At first impression, the hotel seems really nice from the outside, if you look at the hotel from the outside and on the pictures... but the rooms we were allocated certainly do not live up to the pictures. Were very small when, for example, opened the entrance door you couldn't get past the bed, no room for chairs or sofa in the room only beds. On the terrace there are miserable chairs to sit on. There is a smell of smoke in the bathroom even though it should be a non-smoking hotel. Although the hotel is new, it already bears the mark of poor maintenance.. The breakfast is nothing to write home about.
Next to the hotel is a bar that plays really loud music all day. Really can NOT recommend this hotel.

It is a smaller hotel so it’s possible that it’s sold out. However September is out of season for them so I’d try calling.
